Themed XDA Premium app in different colours and ROM matching versions.
We came up with a new tool. [TOOL] Remote Theme Injector - theme your favorite paid apk
With this its possible to theme your Premium paid app without us providing the apk.
For detailed info or simply to say thanks to Diamondback goto his thread linked above.

Latest XDA Premium App V2.2.1 with Widgets.
Themed Blue-ICS and tweaked the colours a little bit more.

* added bold text in widgets for better reading
* added 3 coloured widgets for better reading
* added theme name ICS-Blue in theme picker instead of brown/gray/dark
* better matching icons in forum menu

Download the package from second post, It includes the Red,Green and Blue RTI files.

Extract that folder and grab the installed apk from your phone with Rootexplorer or ES File Explorer. ( /data/app/)
Place that apk in the extracted theme folder and run the RemoteThemeInjector.exe
In this case the RTI (Remote Theme Injector) will give you a list since i placed two themes in one folder. Just make your choice.
The patcher will do his job and spit out a Themed APK.
Copy that Themed APK to your phone (SD-Card) and install it after you removed your previous installed version of the App.
Once the apk is installed , goto menu / more / settings / Display Style / and select XDA Free.

Requests and ROM Themed Versions.

Hello Thank you for your work. But I can't install it. My device is not rooted. Is there a way to install it. Should I rename the APK? If so to what? Thank you.

Looks nice. I would like to see that in the premium app. I can never read the small red text (time/date) in it.

Can you please make this for the premium version as well. I bought it and like your ICS theme

Hum, I will think of something, i can't share the premium app since that would be warez.
I can upload all png files and the colors.xml.
But still you will have to recompile it with your purchased apk.
I don't think there is a easy way :(

If we upload to your pm a link to premium, could you on return supply a themed premium version? It sounds like a ton of work, so I'll understand if not. Just suggesting.

Also, on the one s screen, there is a slight graphics glitch... it does this on top and bottom randomly. I don't touch those threads to highlight them, they just do.

Nah, I don't like the idea of sending apk,s. I think mods will close my thread quickly.... erm wait lolwut :eek:
We are working on a solution, don't worry.

About that glitch, I don't have it on premium version. Are there more ppl with the same error?

Yeah I have the red box on the bottom too on free app. I thought it was because adaway blocking the adds or something.
Will dig into it, like I said, on the premium app all works fine.
Also the grafic highlights glitch I can't reproduce that here on my device, weird.
Just have to find the error in free app.
Will do my best ;)

    Just as teaser ;)

After playing with it over few weekends i have to say this is a b*tch to hack... theming has to be done at smali level .. will take some time to finalize.
    But we will get there!!!!!

Oh wow. I would LOVE a green theme for my premium app. What the one poster said about modifiying the apk to accept custom themes, and publishing the themes on the market would be a great idea!

There is no need for it, we already have a working solution for it.
It just needs some further testing, but it will be a new revolutionary way of theming ;)
Just be patient but i ensure you there will be full themed Premium App without providing the actual apk ;)

Nice! Irritating that Tapatalk made it so difficult though...

Yea but I think iam getting the hang of it.
Looks like we can do at least 90% of it.
Some stuff is bounded on frameworks etc but all the brown is gone.
Will first try to finish a early release of the blue iam working on.

I think it's possible to give you something to play with this evening, might have some small glitches still but workable lol.

You guys better start pulling the apk from your phone, not that easy seeing it's a asec app.

BTW, what do you guys/gals think? .. Full Black or the little grayish from previous screenshot?

Personally leaning to little bit gray in stead of black.
It's more matching up with most of the themes out there.
