your have to respect their work,at least they made it and root the device, you shouldn't call them garbage,at least those who called them garbage made the root while everyone in the world has failed rooting this version .
but they should release the root to truly respect them and share their achieve with the owners of phone.

Just root your N900V 5.0 with Kingroot. And then follow tutorials on how to replace it with supersu.

Note3 has N900V on bootloader. But firmware version is N9005. Friend tried N9005 chainfire root but got secure error on boot with verizon warning below. Fixed it by flashing N900VVRUEOB6_PartialFirmware.tar.. Tried latest Kingroot and it worked.

Has this been tested with N900V 5.0, and what version of kingroot? Or does this just with with N9005? Also was it done with the android or PC version of kingroot?
Actually I'm a bit confused by your post. So did you flash CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar.md5 with odin, then N900VVRUEOB6_PartialFirmware.tar.md5 and you were able to achieve root?

UPDATE: tried to flash CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar.md5, even tried to flash CF-Auto-Root-hltetmo-hltetmo-smn900t.tar.md5. Neither complete the flashing process (auth fail). I have no idea what you're talking about, this does not work the N900V.

Just root your N900V 5.0 with Kingroot. And then follow tutorials on how to replace it with supersu.

scottgl9,
My friend just bought his phone and thought it was just an N9005 variant running 5.0, as you can see my post above.
Even the sticker at the back indicate it's N9005. He asked how to root it and I told him to flash CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar.md5 with odin.
He did and it failed with the phone just stucked with secure error and with the verizon warnings below it.
He called me and I confirmed that the bootloader was indeed N900V, so I flashed N900VVRUEOB6_PartialFirmware.tar.md5 and the phone was fixed.
We tried latest Kingroot apk and it worked.

Hi everybody.... no need to start to abuse other people because they didn't post the root....it is upsetting that they didn't post the root, but at the end its their root....and it is a kind of challenge to root the device
