I am thinking about buying a Shield to replace my dated nexus player.
I mainly use my Nexus player as device to watch live TV via HD Homerun Prime .
Being that the nexus player only has 1gb of RAM and no dedicated Ethernet port it isn't the most robust solution for my application.
I do enjoy the fact that I can cast to it but only in 1080.
I do like the fact that Google is still supporting updates for this device , I'm currently running Android 8.0 and the new layout is amazing!
But I am using a Chromecast Ultra for 4k content.
I guess my main questions are the following ...
Is anyone using Sheild TV with homerun prime ? If so how does it work ?
Is the shield able to run 8.0 ?
Can you cast in 4k ?
