Thinking of purchasing a Fascinate

Just took the plunge myself, got a CLNR for a measly $39 which you can't beat with a stick. Excited to see MIUI being worked on by Jamezelle!

no one has anything else to say about their phone they use everyday?

Running the last few versions of superclean rom, I've seen around 10hours per charge. I'm on my phone a lot, too.

Seems to be hit and miss, though. I put my friends phone to SC2.5 a week or two ago and he was getting 3-4 hours max out of his battery.

The big thing about battery life is ensuring you are taking the right steps to ensure your meter is accurate.
I've been lazy like so many others...a ROM will take 10 minutes but your battery will not charge to 100% instantly.
Although you won't likely fry a phone over the battery...battery has internal protection...it's still a nuisance when it isn't reporting properly.
The variations reported here have little to do with the battery itself and more to do with software. Someday somewhere someone may get crafty enough to write a battery analyzer app and win the hearts of modders everywhere.

Personally, I love my fascinate. Even with stock it was sweet. The screen is amazing. Battery life is average - nothing to write home about. Now with Superclean voodoo ROM installed, my phone flies. I don't think I will switch when stock Froyo comes out. I would recommend it for the phones available on the market now. However, I read that in a few months Samsung is going to release another Galaxy S phone with Gingerbread, dual core processor, and 4G, so you could wait.

I've loved mine. Stock I didn't like it much, just too slow for the hardware it has. But modded it's great, get a custom rom and this phone flies.

i just got my CPO from Verizon on the 11th. Came from a Droid 2. Let me first say the screen is MUCH better on the Fascinate. I'm relly digging it! Stock is looking great for now but would really like the update soon. I really haven't noticed to much difference in my battery life compared to what I had before. Overall i'm happy with spending $40 on the Fascinate, and getting ready to try out that Super Clean From!
