Smart Launcher 5 and Fluid gestures work perfectly for me.

For those waiting for system gestures to work with 3rd party launchers - it's not gonna happen!!
Huawei don't want people to use 3rd party launchers , they won't help the Devs of those launchers to get then working. Plenty of gesture apps that work well with other launchers.

Do you get Fluid Accessibility Services witched off occasionally?

Turn off all battery optimizations for Fluid, I go via settings - apps and notifications- apps-settings- special access then ignore battery optimizations and switch Fluid to manage manually.
Not had it stop once, I keep system gestures on too to hide the nav bar and fluid work's perfectly for me.

Anybody using Nova + Fluid found a solution to Fluid stopping if you hit the "clear all" button in recent app list? I've managed to get the Fluid app itself to disappear from recents using Tasker but it still gets force quit and loses gesture control if you try to clear all recent apps.

It works for me even if I clear the recent apps list. Try this. Go to settings - battery - app launch and switch off fluid app.

Already done that, along with granting all permissions and disabling all other battery optimizations for F.NG as well. I have the chinese version though so the software is even more cancerous than the international phones.

I've got these settings in but still get accessibility services killed for some reason.

The horizontal app switcher is part of the stock launcher. And the vertical one is the fall back in case they launcher isn't installed.

So the only was you get the horizontal switcher back would be by unfreezing the stock launcher.

Btw how did you freeze it exactly? I'm looking to do the same

hyperion launcher

They work without any problem on Nova
I find Hyperion Launcher with Google feed companion app much better than Nova works better, and much smoother and less bugs. Even though I own Nova premium and only free hyperion version its so much better. I feel everyone just says Nova as its the popular one, but actually using and options I find Hyperion much better. I keep meaning to buy the premium hyperion, in fact I'll do it now while I remember. Try it out is nice.
Also google feed is sort of dark theme, sort of not the cards but background but makes it much nicer to look at if your using a dark theme phone wide..

I completely disagree

The hyperion can't do what nova do, these features is what I always use

1. Swipe Action - on desktop icon to get specific shortcut, my usage if i swipe on phone icon directly call my wife, if I swipe on whatsapp directly to my wife, and if I swipe on drawer icon directly to search app bar, and instagram, Twitter other apps I can't find it on hyperion

2. Hold icon to see the latest/recently open
3. Customize gesture and double tap to lock

Mainly I found these 3 features that I used daily not available on hyperion

Nova running smooth as silk and bugfree here, which doesn't mean that Hyperion launcher doesn't. Both great launchers to be enjoyed depending on your personal preference. I would miss the ability to use tabs in the app drawer and also, as mentioned above, the swipe up actions of i switched, so staying with Nova for now.
