I was wondering if it is possible to use third party usb peripherals with a samsung captivate. Specifically I was curious about whether it is possible to use the Alfa awus036h usb network adapter with the samsung captivate phone. I know that it is possible to run backtrack on the samsung captivate, but the captivate does not come with a network chipset that is capable of being put in passive mode. if I did run backtrack on the captivate and I did plug in the external usb network adapter, would the device automatically recognize it as it does on my pc?
If so then is it possible to run the external network adapter directly from android O.S? Would the drivers have to be rewritten, or would they work as is ?
P.S backtrack is a linux distribution based on ubuntu.
