Nope. Just like I said in the OP and can be seen in the picture there is a gap all the way around. My first one also did fine. I think they have changed something. First one was ordered 23OCT. 2nd 23NOV 3rd 19DEC I didn't install them right away after receiving. The 3rd was installed 3 days ago.

I thought rinke cases were not compatible.
What is the source of that info?

It worked fine on the first installation and the picture clearly shows the gap.

I bought one and it has been there since the day I got the phone and that was around October
I think the one I installed first in October would also have been fine to today had the tech not popped it up removing the case. The later ones, not so much. It is obvious the kits have been changing. The total amount of changes is unknown.

What thing I figured out with my first install. I used to get very OCD with cleaning the dust of the edges. I would use alcohol to clean my phone. I forgot that alcohol breaks down and weakens the glue. Figured that out a little to late. Started having issues with the glass bubbling so I took it off and replaced it with a new one. Now I don't clean the phone excessively and when I do. I make sure not to use alcohol.
If you don't use the included wipes to get any crud off the screen first what do you use?

i am on my 6th packs.
they all install 99 percent perfect. doing well with the UAG monarch case.
on my latest install yesterday, alignment was perfect, BUT, 1 damn micro dust right stuck under the protector on top next to the camera censors. OCD bugging hell out of me, but i am trying to cope with it for few months.
one thing for sure in my experience, I also agree with the earlier post from other users, that try NOT to Use Alcohols to wipe your phone with the White-stone GLSP Often.
like me, every night or touch something dirty then using my phone, i wipe. yea. i am kinda germmafoe.
By doing so, they really do dry out the loca glue on the edges of all the exposed sides if you do it all the time, and with the everyday usages, constant pressures, the cold or hot weather, and also in and out of skinny jeans, eventually they will start to lift and seeing small line lifting right at the round edge of your phone.
not a big deal, the phone still working good and smooth, but its a bugger to deal with and 50 bucks burned every time. No, i didnt spend 300 for all those SP. I am just a guanine pig and got very good friends.
Even-thought my phones now is full of loca glue all over the sides and i think some might have got into those opened holes. BUT, I have no regrets though, because it still the best GLSP that this beautiful edgy phones can get.
I will do it again if i have more. but i am on my last piece.
currently looking for Non-alcoholic Bacteria wipes for screens.
i think those might not as bad for killing the loca glue stickiness.
but that just my Opinion.
and I am sorry for my bad grammar and writing.

Had mine on since beginning of October ive cleaned it with allsorts as i keep trying to get it as clean as possible as i found its a worse fingerprint magnet than the original screen, i use a pitaka case mainly and a few of the original Samsung cases...ive never had any lifting ( touch wood)
It seems people's mileage varies with this product but its still by far the best solution for the Note 8 screen, nothing even comes close.
Going naked is not an option as gorilla glass 4 seems rather prone to micro scratches.

As said about you need case to protect thick glass edges

A screen protector that costs $50 should be perfect and last longer than a month. Not everyone likes to use a case... now i need a case to protect my 50 dollar screen protector? lol

Have you considered your screen may be slightly deviated from standard? These protectors do have issues but it is strange you always get exactly the same result, unless you always buy from a batch with exact same issue.

Hi This is Whitestone Dome.
First of all sorry to hear what you have to deal with. Like I said before we would love to support you best as we could. Right away for your problem.
To support you, please contact us to our email [email protected]
Here are 2 causes that we can guess for this happening.
1. Probably the glue didn't spread out thoroughly and it was weak in that area due to less adhesive. If you pressure that weak part too much it will lift. Since that part is where on-off button is.
2. As your comments on here, we could see that you didn't use our UV machine. It cause unstable wavelength and this can make weak part or cause lifting and bubbles.
Sorry that you have to go through this problem.
Customer service is horrible. They sent me expired amazon codes for replacements and takes forever for them to email back stay away from this company very bad

That analogy would work if i said i bought a 1000$ phone and now i need to buy a screen protector??? ...

The screen protector is there to protect it... So putting a case on it to protect the screen protector would defeat the purpose of a screen protector.

You put xpel on a car to protect it from rock chips and stuff, you don't put a cover on top of that xpel to protect the xpel.

If you buy a Mercedes, you will be forever justifying to people why you bought a Mercedes (and aren`t an idiot)...

...And not something half-decent.

Ex-Merc owner speaking...

Anyway, these Whitestone things... Why buy such expensive screen protectors? Someone in this thread spent $100 on them. Can buy phone insurance for that... Just stick a cheap thing on there.

Or if you insist, a "Military Grade" (HAHA!) "ScreenKnight"

Not sure who this comment is directed at but I can tell you that I did use the supplied UV source from my first purchase on all installations.

There isn't really a good thread to post this to and I didn't want to start a new one. I decided to re-use one of my whitestone domes I took off since I had to RMA my Note 8 twice due to the wireless charging no longer working. I had already spent a few hours a couple weeks back cleaning one (I have one more that still has the glue on it), and put it back on tonight. I wasn't as careful as I would have liked and scratched the bottom plastic layer that keeps the TGSP from shattering, but all in all it looks good. I'll take a pic when I have more light and another camera source tomorrow.

Dropped my phone and shattered the Whitestone Dome Screen Protector after 2 weeks :(

So sad, it was a perfect installation and had been great.

Having trouble getting replacement screen protectors in Australia. Any help appreciated.
