Camera on pixel will be sublime. Perfect colour reproduction.

But battery (so long as you can deactivate ,90hz)

Will be superior on the OnePlus.

Pixels always have crap battery.
My Pixel 2 XL with Always on Display gives better battery than my OnePlus 7 Pro for same usage... Pixel 3 is bad though...

Just wondering if anyone else was struggling with the decision to get the 70 versus the 4XL. I am on Verizon, grandfathered unlimited data. All I care about is having an unlocked phone. I'm currently on the Pixel 2 XL, and ready for an upgrade, but not sure which direction to go. What are your guys thoughts? All I really care about is having a fast phone with a good battery
That's exactly where I'm at. I've decided for the 1plust as we're going to get 2 more ram for less and bigger screen, bigger battery and stock with Android 10.

My biggest issue with the Pixel 4 is the price/value and the fact that they chose 855 instead of 855+. Those two factors make me lean towards this phone

Well, in my opinion, if the camera is your prior demands, go for Pixel. But if you wanna buy a good quality phone with a limit budget, Oneplus is enough for all demands.

I don't have any complaints and for the price what more can you ask for, however things i've read include:

People don't like the camera hump for example and that the OnePlus 7 Pro is an overall better phone.
Wow, who knew that a more expensive phone would be the better one.

Ok - the obvious solution is to install GCam on the OP7T.

That way you get the cheaper phone, the top specs and the decent software to go with it.

GCAM > OP camera software.

Is the 7 pro really a better phone than the 7T?

Also, any thoughts on 7T pro (us availability)
Is it much better, depends,It has qhd display and pop up camera yet it is more expensive so I would say it's about what is important to you. If you can manage with full HD and a notch, the 7T is fine .A plus with the notch is much faster face unlock and if your going with the 7T over the 7 pro you get the SD 855+

I considered the Pixel 4 but I was concerned about the small battery and limited storage in the base model. In order to get a reasonably-sized battery and internal storage, I would have to buy the Pixel 4XL with 128GB for almost $1,000. I'm getting the OnePlus 7T instead. I'm a T-Mobile customer and they deleted the 7 Pro in favor of the 7T. Even if both were still offered, I think I'd still choose the 7T (lower cost, newer processor, etc.).

Price I understand and agree with.

The chip is another story..... You realize the 855+ is the 855 with just one of the CPU cores overclocked by 5% (that's 1 of 8 cores) and the GPU overclocked by about 15%. Yes it is slightly better, but I doubt you will see the difference in real life. Maybe gaming will see a slight benefit from the GPU bump, but that's about it.

It's like choosing one car over another because it gets 2 MPG better gas mileage. If you like that car better, then the extra MPG is gravy on top, but it certainly isn't a reason to choose one over the other.

Well said

To me, the screen and camera issues are more tangable. What's your thought on those?

Also , any chance we get best of both worlds with 7T pro?

yeah, the chip is a minimal upgrade but a upgrade nonetheless. There is no good reason why they didn't use it considering the release date. If you're someone already on a Snapdragon 855 you can justify the "upgrade" to some extent. Let's not even talk about the paltry storage options with NO microSD support and the putrid battery size. All this phone really has going for it the Google branding, camera software and Android updates.

Bang for the buck I think people are making a mistake if they choose this over the OnePlus 7T.

I feel you on the specs and the google branding. I’m waiting on the pixel 4. Currently using the 7 Pro the T-Mobile version running the international build.

Jumping to Pixel 4, I’m going to run it the as my daily driver for a week to see how it stacks up. The One Plus phones are as close as I can get to a Nexus.

I miss the Nexus line. I remember the pure Google experience for a fraction of the cost. That’s the only reason why I’m gonna try to run the Pixel 4. The price point is ridiculous! I’m not paying 899 for the XL. I’m not turning in my OP 7 Pro, if I do I’ll pick up the 7T, loose 128 GB of RAM, but I’ll gain face unlock, finger print sensor. I don’t like to use the face unlock with the 7 Pro because the camera has to pop up.

Oh yeah one other thing the last time I checked, the 7T has a brighter display then the 7 PRO. I have issues with view the display in sun light. Ugh! Hats of to Samsung their displays are super bright.

The price point and having only 64 gb of ram was a deal breaker for me on the Pixel, even as much I wanted to get away from the OP line.

799 for 64 gb is beyond ridiculous
