Hey guys, I currently have a Galaxy S9 and I really don't like the phone overall, I want something that feels less bloated and more stock feeling. Right now T-Mobile has a $300 off pixel 4 and 4 XL with that trade in, and that puts it at the same price as the 7T. Which would you guys go for given the same prices?

I just received my new 7t today and it's a nice device, but if I were you, I would buy the Pixel for $300 off.

Edit...I changed my mind. I use a lot of apps that use fingerprint authentication. Apparently the Pixel's face id won't work on any of the apps that I use, until the developers update to the latest Android SDK. My banking apps will more than likely take forever. For this reason, I would not consider the Pixel 4.

Even with the 64 gbs?? I would rather have the pixel since OP won't enter 2009 and put AOD on their phones and the sucky proximity sensor, but they want too much for the pixel 4 :(

I waited for the Pixel 4 but when it was finally announced I was concerned about the small battery and limited storage in the base model. In order to get a reasonably-sized battery and internal storage, I would have to buy the Pixel 4XL with 128GB for almost $1,000. I gave up on the Pixel 4 and bought the OnePlus 7T from T-Mobile ($599 vs $999). So far, I'm very happy with my purchase. I put on the clear case that was included with the phone so the camera bump doesn't bother me, and after experiencing the smooth scrolling with a 90Hz display, it would be hard to go back. By the way, the 7T is the first Android device I've used with the supplied launcher -- I've always used Nova Prime on my Android devices.

I traded in a Note 9 on the 7T. My trade-in value was $225, not $300, but I paid a net of $374 for the 7T instead of a net of $699 for a Pixel 4 XL with 128GB. I think I got a better phone, except for the cameras.

I've had the 7t now for several days. Loving it so far - the "camera bump" is something people looking for something to complain about will complain about - meaning they can't find anything reasonable to complain about. :)

Battery easily lasts me all day, even when disabling Adaptive Brightness and setting it to 100% while at work (screen isn't always on).
It's fast, it's smooth, it takes good, fast pictures - fast even on Pro Mode, which enables the 48MP shots, and it can do 4K60fps video, whereas the Pixel is limited to 4k30fps.

I loved my Pixel phones, and did not like the 6t. At all. It surprises me how much I am liking the 7T.

Without the P4XL in-hand, the only reasons I can currently see getting the P4 over the 7T is soli (if that's what you're into), or some of the "pixel-only" features like Call Screening, Spam blocking, and such. The camera? Not as much of a deal-breaker as I'd thought. The snaps I've taken so far seem very good (I am no expert, but have used the Pixel 2 XL and Pixel 3a XL extensively).

That said; The Pixel 4 XL should arrive in the mail today so I should be able to make some better comparisons (they aren't both for me).

Edit/Additional: T-Mobile just announced the OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition (5G) will be exclusive to T-Mobile in the US... O.O

I have both in my hands right now. Personally don't think the pixel 4xl is worth the extra cash. However, for me I'll keep both. I know seems dumb. I'm a phone addict.

Overall I think the 7T is the best value by far. Only thing I can't say yet though is on battery. Just setup the 7T, but I can't imagine it will be worse than the 4Xl.

Just wondering if anyone else was struggling with the decision to get the 70 versus the 4XL. I am on Verizon, grandfathered unlimited data. All I care about is having an unlocked phone. I'm currently on the Pixel 2 XL, and ready for an upgrade, but not sure which direction to go. What are your guys thoughts? All I really care about is having a fast phone with a good battery
same here. been using a pixel 2 xl for two years. 4 Xl launches and I am confused af if i should just buy oneplus 7t pro for a year and get the pixel 5 xl next year with hopefully better specs

Seems to be more compromises with the Pixel 4. Now they're having issues with 90hz below a certain level of brightness which has no ETA for a fix from Google.

This is what I'm doing. I bought a black pixel 4 and I'm returning it for a silver 7t.

I like the pixel 4 but mine has screen bleed and the storage is meh, I need UFS 3.0
