Got my highest Linpack score with it of 38.75. Was getting 34 odd with Kangorama.

Speed is awesome with no input lag and battery life is at least 20% better than Kangorama. Working radio and notification widget power bar is just a plus.

I hate the iOS look so just use Launcherpro too. Just because the iOS looking launcher is bundled with it doesn't mean you have to use it. MIUI is a lot more than just the iOS launcher...

I like the speed of the rom. I love the look and feel of the Folders and especialy the messaging app. is there any way for me to get just the messaging apk to work on cyenogen mod? its so much better then the default and its different from handcent and chompsms. overall i like cyanpgen more but miui has avery nice look and feel to it. the blending of ios and android made my iphone wielding friends jealous.

FM radio has been working on nxsense for a while now so idk why some people are so excited about it
Nxsense isn't the point. I love sense but hate the bloat. I like miui except the lack of a drawer. I use a folder, but can't use it on my dock area. If I could it would be perfect. Its full featured AND clean. That's why I like MIUI. But if you don't like it, hopefully someone else comes up with what you love. That's the beauty of android. ;)

And if someone doesn't, you can try and code it yourself. Look at the Kite UI project after all. :)

I must confess that I agreed with the OP after my first bout with MIUI...

... but I reflashed it this weekend, added in LauncherPro and a few other tweaks, and I am loving it.
same here. the iphone-ish layout was a big turn-off at first but after installing launcher pro plus this rom has the perfect blend of everything imo. It's got the best of sense (widgets/fm radio) and the best of vanilla (no bloatware/better battery life etc). It also has the best looks imo, everthing's so clean and smooth as butter everywhere. The notification bar with the "built-in power control" is top-notch and the lock screen is bar-none the best i've seen. The lockscreen has got the intuitiveness of widget locker (albeit to a much smaller degree) and the contacts page looks and feels great. Really can't emphasize the speed and overall smoothness of this rom. enough. Needless to say, i really love this rom haha

OH and the 720p recording on RoDrIgUeZsTyLe´s MIUI rom is amazing. :)

So would you suggest RoDrIgUeZsTyLe´s over the stock? I am seeing a lot of valid points about this rom so I may give it another go with a different launcher.

Rodriguez MIUI is much better.

What kind of battery are you guys getting?

I'm getting 20% left after 12hours... where Enoms would leave about 30ish% after heavy use.

Definitely. I had used stock at first and wasn't too impressed, switched over to Rodriguez and now I'm a happy camper :)

OK so I flashed the Rodriguez 1.1 version tonight and installed ADW launcher. I know it comes with Launcher Pro but I just prefer ADW for now. So far I have to say I think I like it. It seems very snappy. I am still getting used to the lock screen. Haven't had a chance to try the fm radio only because I'm at work with no headphones. I will post more as I use it for a day or two. You can tell a lot of love and hard work went into this rom. I am a big fan of enomther's rom, but I want to give this a fair shot.

I use launcher pro plus with Rod Style MIUI, & I've had the most impressive battery and gaming performance of all roms, and this is coming from a flashing addict. 26h since unplugged and at 54%. web browsing, FB + twitter + xda app, news reading, and a few resource light games. I'm extremely happy.

2 drawbacks, notification not clearing automatically and speaker issues (stock kernal related)

I tried it for a couple hours.
HATED IT!

Too glassy and iPhone styled for me.

I hate the fact that ALL APPS get their icon on the home screen.
I hate that there is no app drawer.
Sure you can use LauncherPro or ADW to suit me better, but I'm just talking about the ROM itself.

I saw the new thread for rOdRiGuEzStYlE (sp?), and he has a modified MIUI ROM.
I was about to download and see if anything changed, but nope. I saw the attached video of what it looks like.

It's a nice lookin ROM, but not for me.
I'll stick with clean, plain, Vanilla Jane Android, thanks!

EDIT:
I just read the previous 55 posts before mine.
It seems that I too, may be flamed for saying I HATE IT!
But to each his own, eh?

Most of my negative points towards MIUI are home screen based.
While it does have much more beneath that has been redone, I do appreciate and like the look and style of the rest of the phone.
The ROM itself "AS IS", is not attractive to me. But perhaps replacing their Launcher with the default one or/plus LauncerPro may win me over.

I'm all for anything that provides a great battery life.
With normal usage, I end up with about 15-30% on the ROMs listed in my sig.
Just went back to TheOfficial tonight. I change ROMs more often than I change my underwear, really, just kidding, but no - really!!! (j/k)

Personally it looks a little too cartoonish for my taste, and hate that it has iOS icons. I like my cyan6 with launcher pro and will stick with it until gingerbread comes along.

Just my opinion.

Does anyone know how to get the fluidity of the menus into something like Cyanogen? I've always wondered why the menus in Android have the little kick back like they do in iOS and MIUI. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Well I dont have a Nexus One yet, but I do have the SGS, which is kind of a similar style to this, but I've got to say, when I saw this ROM for the first time, I was quite envious to say the least, as this looks WAY better than TouchWiz on the SGS, and it looks WAY faster as well.

I really like the look of this, and when I get an N1 (should be coming soon), I'll definitely be putting this ROM on. To me, it seems to marry the best points of the iPhone with the best points of android in one package.

Sure, it does look kind of cartoony, but I don't mind that, gives the phone a cheerful look.
