No one is forcing you to use its included Launcher.

Seriously LauncherPro solves all the perceived problems with this ROM and the iOS like launcher.

If you like battery life, speed and stability then this ROM is unbeatable.

agreed. and to be honest, i've almost always used adw or lp on all the roms i've used so to me, this rom is basically the same as the others with better battery life, speed, smoothness, and the best lockscreen of all time ;)
but to each its own! the beauty of android :)

Is it possible to get the HTC Sense Weather/Clock widget to work with this ROM? I'm specifically interested in the HTC version, not one of the others available in the marketplace.

PS: Does anyone have a preference between the Froyo HD and the MIUIMOD versions?

MIUI is an amazing ROM, the best out there right now. Use LP or ADW and you have the best of both worlds. The increase in battery life from CM6 is just staggering, I won't be flashing anything else anytime soon.

I think the launcher of MIUI is fine you get unlimited home screens and you can also rearrange any way you want it, also you have the option of folders so i don't know may be rearranging 100s of icons is a tedious task if you flash roms often but the concept is a step forward from the app drawer and the 5 or 7 homescreens of launcher pro. You can also go from 1 screen to another really quick. It takes a little to get used to, to be honest i really don't like the app drawer concept is something like windows mobile which the thing can get cluttered once you start loading programs, then you would have to put your programs into your homescreens so and into little folders for easy access...

After a couple of days of use

I've been running this for a few days now and I must say it is a good rom.
Some observations I have made. Keep in mind I did use Rodriguezstyle v1.1 and not the stock version if that makes a lot of difference.
1. It does seem snappy
2. It runs nice with adw or launcher pro
3. High def video recording for me was very choppy no matter the lighting and even on a fresh reboot.
4. The FM radio works but i have very bad reception. Probably has to do with my headset or location. Badass that it works.
5. Battery life for me is far from "staggering". As a matter of fact I get no more battery life out of this rom than I have using CM or enom's.
6. Running quadrant and linpack, enom's 2.12.4 and 2.13.2 both scored considerably higher benchmarks with the same amount of widgets and exact same home screen setups and no overclocking involved. (adw launcher on both)
7. Would love to see the toggles in the pull down task bar in other roms.
8. Lock screen is awesome!
9. Phone app is nice as well.
10. I still don't care for the iPhone bubble box icons and that's a pretty small con.
11. Music mod is nice
12. So used to the Wysie browser mod in CM and enom's that it was hard to use the stock browser :-(
Overall I did listen to everyone and have to agree with the people who replied about the pros of this rom. It is a nice rom. I have gone back to enom's latest and i am loving it! Would love to see some of the features in future releases. Sorry to all the devs that have been working on this rom, translating it and modding it etc. , I didn't mean any disrespect. Great work and I will check out future releases. For now I am sticking with enom's TheOfficial as it has been my favorite for some time and he just seems like an overall cool guy here in the forums.

I use RoDrIgUeZsTyLe's MIUIMOD rom because it has Black Glassed Themed widgets.

I tried the standard MIUI and couldn't get over not having a launcher tray. I ditched back to my normal android rom, but missed the toggles from the pull down menu and lockscreen. So now I use RoDrIgUeZsTyLe's MIUI version and Launcher Pro. The paid Launcher Pro widgets match perfectly to the newly themed widgets and all is glory.

The only issues I have at this point:
1: Can't change the lockscreen wallpaper without going back to default stock launcher
2: I HATE the menu's how they are just listed and laid out.

Overall I really like it. It's a good change of pace.

Used for a full week

I started with the original "MIUI 0.9.30 | Stock | Deodexed" for a couple then discovered "RoDrIgUeZsTyLe´s MIUIMOD [V1.1]". I used it for a full week. It a great ROM. It has some quirks but overall it a very fast and attractive rom. I'm back on CM6 just in time for the CM6.1 release. I will give MIUI another try after it improves a little more.

to each, his own.

after a few custom roms, i'm back on stock FRG83 w/ Launcherpro. I have zero interest in the MIUI roms' that are in the wild.

I will say though, It's an excellent representation of what's possible with Android. Credit is given to all who have had a hand in porting, translating and the like. :)
