Guys I'm on 053 still, what if I directly update to 057 ?
will I miss some features? because Asus released 056 in between and I didn't know.

Have anyone noticed the YouTube rotation glitch after the .57 update
It's in every app while you watching in landscape mode and when you switch to portrait it suddenly glitches

Just got the fota notification for .057. The changelog is in chinese, but i'm in italy........ On zentalk the are different thread about problems with this last update., regarding Widevine that now is L3, graphics glitches in screen rotating and the notification icons are, again, misaligned.

I have strong doubts about the installation of this update. I have the suspect of things done scrappily with the summer holidays in the middle!!!

Yes you can directly goto .058 version by installing the 1.5 GB full firmware and coming to performance NO COMMENTS? but it does seem almost the same though with a security patch update. Battery drain isn't improved but similar to .053 but the vibration has become better now for sure.

    24-05-2019

A new FOTA update has been rolling out to Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 (both ZB601KL and ZB602KL) on 24/05/2019. The complete changelog (provided by Asus) is given below :

    Build No. : 16.2017.1903.053
    Update Size : TBA

    Changelog :
    1. New Android 9.0 Pie build.
    2. Update Google security patch to May 2019.

Since the server pushes update notice to different serial numbers by batches, it may take some days for you to receive the FOTA notice. In the meantime, you may tap “System update” in [Settings] >>[System] to check if there is new firmware available. Or, you can also try to manually update the firmware by referring to the following link :

    7
If you could help me with the commands?
If it doesn't voids the warranty or anything like that!

    Yeah Sure Why Not....
No Warranty Damage In This Process
(I Am Not Responsible If You Go Wrong Somewhere And Mess Up)

Go To Play Store.....Search Custom Navigation Bar....
    (Developer Paphonb)
Download It....By The Time It Installs.... Enable USB Debugging From Developer Options....
Connect To PC Or Laptop Via Usb Cable...
Now If You Have Asus ADB Drivers Installed Already Then Go To That ADB Folder.....And Open Command Window...By Holding Shift + Right Click....You Will See Many Options Find Open Command Window Here....Or Open Power Shell Windows (For Windows 10 Users..)
And Write "adb devices"....(It Shows You Device Directly Incase There Is A Pop Up On You Phone Allow It...Then It Will Connect)...
After Phone Detected.. type "adb shell"
After Writing The Above Command You Will See A $ Sign On The Laptop Screen....(In The Next Line)
NOW Open The App And Give 2 Permission For Storage And Stuff...
    Now You See 2 Options
ADB Permission And Root (Click ADB Permission)
You Can See Some Stuff Written There It's All What I Wrote Above....

    Now Type
    "pm grant xyz.paphonb.systemuituner android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS"

Now To The Phone If It's Successful You Will See A Singal Arrow Instead Of 3 Touch Button (In The Nav Bar....i.e Back Home Recent)
    Press That Arrow....
Now Everything Is Done.....Go Through Every Option Available In The App...And Choose What Suits You Better...
Thank Me If You Like It...
    Ask Again If Any Doubt...
    Peace ✌️

After flashing TWRP (but not Magisk), try to backup persist and vendor folder. Thereafter, install Magisk and then try restoring the backup.

Well there is no /persist in my pie root directory. Backup and restored /vendor backup after magisk install but wifi didn't came back.

Can someone tell me how should I install stable pie version through twrp recovery ?? I have unlocked my bootloader and is on twrp recovery....
This zip is TWRP flashable. I have tired it atleast 3 times by now. You must be on 340 update, not on pie beta

There was a thread here which told you to modify the update zip's META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script and it worked for me. You can use my zip or if you have the pie stable update zip already, you could save some time using a text editor. Hit thanks if that help. My thanks meter is nil lol.

Same problem but with some custom roms, would you please give me the boot img so i can bring back my wifi mac? And how to do that?
And if i restore boot img will magisk uninstalled?
Which ROM are you using? You have to open your ROM's zip and extract the boot.img and put your phone to fastboot mode by pressing vol up + power.
    Then flash using the command
    Code:
    fastboot flash boot <filename>.img
And yes you will loose magisk because magisk remain undetected because it modifies boot partition instead of system. Flashing pie stable boot.img restored my wifi to normal.
