Time to take picture (camera launch speed)

There! Something just happened! Did you take a picture of it? Rate this thread to express how fast the Samsung Galaxy S7 can go from "zero to picture". A higher rating indicates that launching the camera app and taking a photo is extremely fast such that you never miss an important moment, like when your cat attacks the couch again.

Camera speed

Well, I've had my S7E for 24 hours now and have to say it's real fast to open the Camera up, to focus and snap a photo.
I'm comparing along side my G4 which I also own.
It's definitely quicker.

It helps that there's a double-click home button to launch the camera app.

Which the home button also powers on the screen.
And it also reads your fringerprint and unlocks the device.

So you can go from device-off to taking an in-focus picture in literally 1 second (or less).

You can double-click from screen-off and it'll register everything.

Though, YMMV if the camera app is already in RAM. That can introduce a very slight delay.

Camera opens up pretty quickly, not as fast as other phones on the market but still good. I love the double tap home button to open camera feature! It really is handy.
