Huawei mate 9 is the next big thing....
I'll never buy a phone running Huawei's software ever again in my life. I purchased the Ascend Mate 7 and it was appalling how late Huawei was with releasing Android 5.0, especially with them touting it as a flagship phone. If you buy a Huawei phone, don't expect android updates very often.

I'm personally waiting on some additional information on the V20. I absolutely love having root and xposed, so an unlocked bootloader would be great.. but the USA version of LG phones never get their bootloaders unlocked. I remember buying two LG G4's because I had to get the EU region specific one to get an unlocked.

Also, LG has been failing with battery life with their phones as of late. My G3 had decent battery life, my G4 had near unacceptable battery life, and so did the G5. Here's hoping that LG optimises their software this time around!

You could easily root the mate 7 and upgrade the software yourself....
Anyway we are a little bit out of topic now...
EDIT:the only disappointing for me on v20 is battery life ..
Heard that battery life is not so impressive..
Less than note7

Not to worry, Samsung fixed the issue for the LG V20 not having as much battery life as their Note7. They just simply cut the Note7's max battery capacity by half :)

it will be out before the 30th
Apparently battery life for this reviewer gets over two hours better SOT with the V20 than the Note 7. His review for the Note 7 barely breached 3 hours SOT, but 6 with the V20.

Android headlines contradicts this, but it is just one review. They got a little over 3 hours SOT with the Note 7 and 6 with the V20. A key apparently is better signal reception with the V20, which is a huge weight for battery life. Weak LTE signal drains a battery much faster.

I'm hoping for a release and price announcement this week. If the T-Mobile rep was correct with his/her information then pre-orders should begin on Wednesday.

And like most of you have already posted in this thread, I can't wait to trade in my S7 Edge for the V20 and go back to a flat screen. The S7E was the first phone I used with the curved edge and after 6 months of using it I can't stand it. This will be the last time.
15th now and still no preorder. They usually are wrong, regardless of carrier.

Yeah I was just joking around. I'm hoping that the review is true because I am planning on getting it myself. Been checking literally about every 2 hours for any news/update about a preorder but have been disappointed everytime

Seems the people most disappointed will be LG missing a prime opportunity to take some share from Samsung. Imagine the joking ad: Battery is no big problem- Swap it!

Not holding my breath for a September release. Probably later October, given LG's track record. Hoping I am wrong :)

Yeah, their window of opportunity to convince people to give the V20 a try before the Note 7 is slipping away, replacement handsets for the Note 7 will be available as early as next week,9/21/16:

If they'd sell the 3.5 mm headphone jack to the iPhone crowd, they still have a bit of time,as backorders for some of the more popular iP7 models are going well into November before availability.

Yeah and unfortunately I've been reading some people from reddit who seem to believe that they pushed it back, hence why there's been nothing but silence from LG. But they need to release it soon if they're going to keep their word on being the first phone shipped with 7.0 preloaded on the phone. I'm beginning to think more and more I may just hold off and wait until the Pixel XL - which I've been hearing some people say they are doing as well. Sad to think people are jumping ship on this before it's even released yet.

I'm not jumping ship,a week or two longer wait is of no consequence to me.

As for the Pixel & Nexus phones,I find that they're quite bland & overpriced.
The HTC 10 is a perfect example of that,a near stock experience, but, overpriced.

It was one of the nicest phones I've ever owned, but,if not for aftermarket development,I wouldn't have given it a look.
At least LG & Samsung have features on their flagships that set 'em apart from the crowd, with or without aftermarket development.

Which is why I had chosen my S5 Active, because I had liked Samsung setting themselves apart from the crowd. But as time grew, Samsung started to become less appealing to me as they locked their phones down more and more. I really love the second display idea for the LG V10/20. I like that LG is also trying to make it a close to stock experience, with some added twists ofcourse. I'm definitely not going to be let down if they have a locked bootloader, as I was fine with my S5 having a locked bootloader.
My main issue is that my S5 is about to die on me. It is on its last leg, having to put in a couple of hours fixing things here and there. That was why I was so looking forward to the V20, as it was said to be coming soon. I'm still wanting to stay strong and hope it comes soon, but that is starting to depend on how much longer my current phone is able to last :(
I still have no doubt though, that this phone will impress. Just I'm very much hoping that the fan base revolving around this phone won't die off, like the game "Paper Toss: Pokemon Edition" (Pokemon GO) userbase died off.

It's really mind boggling! :eek::eek:
You'd think they would of started a pre-order a week or two ago (like what Samsung did for the Note 7) but still Nothing.
It's like LG said "Here is the new V20, and we have no idea when it will come out or what the price will be".

Notice how there is some type of antenna on the battery cover, that connects to the phone with two pins. I wonder which antenna it is for?

EDIT: Nevermind, it says "Support for Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC are here too, with the NFC chip found in the camera hump on the back of the phone."
