I've heard people saying the adapter would be a bad idea for the xoom and one should go with the cable. The adapter with a usb cable plugged in seems like it would put undue stress on the xoom's micro usb port.

Do you notice any issue with that using the adapter? I was looking to get one for this very purpose as well as being able to also use an external flash drive.

I haven't noticed anything, the adapter is pretty light I don't feel it would cause any issues.

moto has released their camera connection kit which is an OTG style pigtail usb. purchase that and then plug in your usb charge cable for the phone and your set. i have this cable and it works just fine. funny the evo even recognizes the xoom as a host device.. cant do anything with it though.. (yet).

This isn't working for me when I connect my incredible, neither device recognizes the connection. Do I need usb debugging or anything else enabled?

Edit: wifi only

I've tired charging a thunderbolt and an incredible and neither device recognizes or is charged by the xoom. What could be causing this?
