im guessing mine shows up automatically because my tv is a smart tv on the same network and it just picked it up ... i did nothing to set it up i was just playing a video and saw the little button and clicked on it ... and im sure im not the first person to discover this i just found out about it just now and thought id share in case someone didnt know like me

yea man you need a better instruction, this is not really DLNA since he is playing from his phone to the TV, DLNA is u accessing files from your phone on your TV.

like i said in the video man i really didnt set up anything i just saw the little icon on my phone and pushed it and my tv started playing the song i was listening too .. i wish i could help you more i just think it picked it up as a connected device on my network

o0ooh!!! I see I see not baaad!! I got it to work too it's just that my tv has a wireless ON/OFF button that I just noticed lol thanks for the info:good:

Wow... this is so amazing!!! I would have bought this phone just for this feature. Who cares if dlna has been out for years. Just the simple fact of playing music on my TV is way worth the 600+ dollars. I think I'll play some Radiohead... watch your video (which was way worth my battery life) ... load my shot gun... and blow my entire face off.

Who cares if dlna has been out for years.
pardon my ignorance but I've never heard of this (is my geek card revoked? :laugh: ).

is this the only method for showing music/films on one's TV?

well, aside from the obvious HDMI cable attaching from phone to TV

I only want to understand this. I was under the impression this only worked if all your devices were connected via that "ALLSHARE" thing.

my tv has no allshare on it i think its dnla ...and i mean you didnt have to watch the video ... i just wanted to shared no need to be a jerk ... isnt that what these forums for sharing things about these devices .... if im wrong ill stop posting
