titanium backup not installing apps?

I backed up a stock app before un-installing it. I now want to re install it briefly to check something, and it won't let me? what's the point of backing it up if it won't reinstall it?

I'm on SC2.4 and in the thread there's a zip that has those stock apps.

What App?
What did you select in TiBU to backup?
What did you select in TiBU to restore?

I was doing it to nfs shift, as a test. I backed it up by tapping the app under backup/restore, then deleted the app, then tried tapping the app again, and restore was greyed out, but the backup was still in tact.
