This issue was fixed for me on v7.10 (7740), 2-3 weeks ago.
Did anybody else had this update ?
I have had this update a few weeks, and it just happend to me agin today. (6 times over all)

It is a Danish Telmore branded HTC Titan X310e.

OS ver.: 7.10.7740.16
Firmware rev. nr.: 1600.2200.20104.401
Hardware rev. nr.: 0002
Radio software ver.: 16.23.03.17_ 16.27.00.23U
Radio hardware ver.: 2.122.0.D4
Bootleader version: 1.8.160015.3(132000)
Chip SOC ver.: 1.6.0.0

I returned the phone with DOA notice, it went through a 10 day "stress" test, without errors (after a hard reset). I belive this was without data on the phone...

Hi!

Are you guys still facing this issue with Titan? Anything changed?

This is my 3rd attempt at filling up the Titan.

First two time, nothing happened as described. This time i've gone a bit too far I think. I've got less than 300mb of space left on my titan. (got 8 movies ;) ) and more..

I am charging my Titan currently, will use it for a day or two (if it lasts that long) and give my final verdict on this freezing bug. I hope it's only a few handsets and mine is not one of those!

Thought I'd share the last posting on my HTC support thread, not sure if this is true or not:

I've spoken with a couple of the HTC technical leads. This was an issue with early Titans and apparently a few of them made it to market. Most if not all of the devices currently in market have updated memory and should not experience this problem. If you are having this problem you should get a replacement device from your carrier.

I hope this helps.

I think this is true for many other issues too like muffled voice, echo in call, voice recognition failure as well as antenna issues. I got this from Carphone Warehouse staff who were aware of replacement ordered for nearly half the 'first batch' models they sold.

Sent from my TITAN X310e using Board Express

I got this same problem -- getting a warranty replacement. We'll see if it helps. Thanks for posting what the tech said.

So it turns out I have one of those defective Titans! Will a new rom fix this? Also turns out that the HSPL will not install on my device and I'm stuck on spl 2.05 ( displaying as 2.5) and can't flash any ROM but stock US Cingular 1.10. It doesn't down grade the spl back so I don't think I can return for a warranty swap either until I can can the SPL back to 1.10. Any suggestions?

You can...just as long as you have the stock rom on it -and no HSPL. I kid you not, I sent my Tilt 2 into HTC with an HSPL on there and got it warrantied repaired. If something comes up to where they ask why you have SPL 2.5...just say you upgraded it from the HTC website and that you thought you were suppose to. -I doubt they would even notice.
