That's bullshit...I'd be ecstatic to be throttled down to edge. I'm lucky to get 8-10kb/s, and the already pretty atrocious handshake time becomes like 15 sec for each page... Im sorry for.the rant but hell-- its an (as usual) uninspired, corporate grab for cash because they're big pussies to scared to innovate and maybe lose a bit to better it for the long haul...

I have coworkers with Sprint 4g and my T-Mobile speeds blow them away. They also claim the Sprint 4g RAPES their battery life. While they do have truly unlimited data... most of us smart and loyal T-Mobile users do too. It's been discussed many times already on this forum, but all you need to do is call retentions and request the Android Preferred data plan for $20. It has a 5 Gb softcap that is not actually capped. I always go over 5 Gb, get the text/account softcap warning but never lose my fast 4g speeds.

Back on topic and the doubling of speeds. So far my speed tests around town are a little slower on average. My 6-7 Mbps is now around 4-5 Mbps. I'll test more as it's been less than 24 hours. Could be a fluke. I was hoping to maybe see higher average speeds though.

I have 3-5 download speed.
What works: maps, skype, phone, radio, pandora, email, browser.
What does not: Maybe something I don't care about.

Streaming video??? I use TV for watching movies.

They can bump speeds up to 1 TB/s - I don't give a darn.
Most people are screaming about slow speeds even they don't consume 1/3 of what they have.

Piece...

They already won BTW and the tower is going up now.
really? you in the area?

as for the complaining with tmobiles 4G, i just came off of sprints unlimited plan with my Evo 4G and i can honestly say living around chicago and being all around the city very often sprints 4G is more of a gimmick. Its fast (around tmobile speeds) but the coverage was very spotty. I never got it in my home when i was told i was in a 4G strong area. Leaving it on while traveling your constantly disconnected.

And it makes the battery its *****. You have 4G on its like leaving wifi, bt, and GPS on full time. When i got my sensation a few days back I was asking the tmobile rep how i turn off 4G to save power hes like its not like sprint dont worry about it and your battery life will be better.

Been three days ive been all around chicago and suburbs of it with tmobile. Havent been without 4G yet and call services even seems more reliable.

just to my 2 cents. keep in mind i havent had my coffee yet lol

Wow.. I have noticed a speed bump in NYC for sure. The highest I would see it during off peak times was about 5.5mbps last night I got almost 7 and just now I got over 6(during this time of day I would normally get about 3 or 4 tops)

They rolled out 42 Mbps in New York a long time ago, though.

cry me a river. You hear worse on the radio. If you don't want to come across something you might not like, try staying off the internet and in your house of worship.
Seriously dude, chill out. Show the people that are here from other nations that US citizens aren't hateful cavemen who lack an education. Sure, I swear too but there's no need to fill these forums up with those words. It's clearly in the XDA rules to not use profanity because there's people here of all ages. If you can't respect that then I bid you a good day. Mods, prepare Mjolnir aka: the ban-hammer.

This was a SpeedTest when I was in Denver, CO on business back in late June. The results were repeatable.

I'm relaxed, always will be regardless of what I'm typing - I don't get worked up over a forum post. All ages? Really? those same kids are probably looking at 3D porn over in the Evo3D forum, or on other parts of the internet.. anyway...

I'm not going to change anyone's preconceived notions about Americans on a forum, nor do I care.

I'm not in the area but I saw the following news post where they folded under the huge fees from litigation
