hello everyone

It seems I am having some problems with Tomtom 7 installed on a customized ROM. Tomtom just displays 'poor reception, are you inside a building?' no matter I'm standing in the middle of a park or in my car. I had no problems with my stock R3A Australia ROM, as Tomtom would locate me in something like 15 seconds. Is there anyone else having the same problem? I have tried itje's touch, EnergyROM and agent47's firestorm but Tomtom is not working on any of them. Or is it just because Tomtom does not support wm6.51 cos I really like the GUI of WM6.51 and don't wanna go back to Wm6.5 (let alone WM6.1)

I'm currently using EnergyROM leo build 23070, and the Tomtom version is 7.915

P.S. I have tried some sat-locating-assisting softwares like hypeGPS and others I cant remember the names but useless

TT7 is quite a problem child on many PDA´s, on both "official" and "cooked" ROMs of various devices. There are numerous forums filled with discussions around this fact.

In general, it seems that some people were able to make it run on WinMo 6.5, but the software company denies compatibility in many cases.

Maybe there is a build out there which will run on your ROM.

Just as a reference, some other navigation products run nicely on most of the ROMs I ever used (WinMo 6.1/6.5 and/or Manila 2.1/2.5): iGo8 and Garmin.

I ran several builds of Tomtom on several cooked and original ROMs, no problems.

With some ROMs and/or some builds of Tomtom it would take a lot of time for TomTom to startup, but this is OK also now....

I did have two or three occasions that Tomtom was not able to get a fix. A soft reset resorted this.

My ROM is: Christians ROM 3.201 - NL full
Tomtom: 7.916.9189.1 (from xda)

So it ought to be possible...

Good luck!
