I am always on latest PA, currently 1.98 with Quarx's 10th nightly, and do not have any stablity issue. Just port from s2 PA and remember to copy libandroid_runtime.so, it will work for sure.

And those who have any issue with the ported ROM, u shud at least provide the logcat.

How do we generate a logcat while booting.

Go to bootmenu first, select boot, enable adb and then boot to 2nd unit. Now u can see logcat through adb while booting.

I tried to port pa_i9100-2.10-06SEP2012-134608
To quarx's CM10-20120912-NIGHTLY-mb526 but hot stuck in bootanimation bootloop. This I did with Porter v5.

The logcat of process is in attached link

Please look and guide where I could be going wrong. I copied the lib....so file when given the option.

Just a quick and may be a dumb question, can use this tool to port PA from Defy to MS2?
Or what i need to modify to be able to do that.

Added these lines

TO ADD SUPPORT FOR NEW DEVICES, do the following:

make two .txt files in the "devices folder"
name the two files as follows:

MODEL_backup.txt eg- MB526_backup.txt
MODEL_remove.txt eg - MB525_remove.txt

and now will try to the output rom :fingerscrossed:

You have to read more. Those files are useless if empty. sorry about the bootloop though. I can't help you there. This is just an automated guide

Yeah, i've read the README file, and populated the a953_backup.txt and a953_remove.txt, and the process ran smoothly. But one thing I've noticed that build.prop file was not modified and also /system/etc/paranoid folder was not copied across. Maybe because, I was trying to port JB Paranoidandroid...not sure if people with Defy/+ had success with it.
Bootloop is not a problem have been getting them for three days, trying to port, as long as I can access bootmenu, I can restore every thing...it's just a little frustrating.
Would apreciate if you can prove more input on how to port JB PA rom.

This tool is useless now :crying:
Each ROM has its own way of porting and it is not possible to include all methods into this

Yep! but as new versions get out porting requires more changes! I only know to code not port! Brajesh told me how to port and I implemented it in code
