cant download from website
server is down since 2 days
any mirrors ?
I've stated this before, if the site is down, then the files required for the tool cannot be downloaded.
So, downloading the tool from another source because my server is down is of no help.
Also, I've just checked, everything seems to be working fine.
Try this to check next time: http://www.isup.me/kgs1992.com

EDIT: On a side note, I no longer have a HTC Pyramid. While I'm still working on the next version when I have the time, I'm not sure about when I'll be able to get this done.

I have this exact same problem. My bootloader is UNLOCKED
If you're S-OFF and have an unlocked bootloader, this is bound to happen.
Relock your bootloader using the command
Code:
fastboot oem lock
You can then flash an unlocked bootloader instead of having to unlock the bootloader through HTC dev.

I am not S-OFF... I am trying to get S-OFF, but I am currently S-ON.

Hi kgs!

I've a question, I am trying to install 4ext with your utility, but when I choose install recovery the program stops, the new window won't pop up. I am on xp, HTC drivers installed, USB debugging is on. Do you have an idea what can cause this?

This might have already been asked but can't find in the last few pages of this thread.

When trying to root or flash recovery through this tool, it doesn't work. The command window just closes when you select any command and nothing happens.

I tried it a few times but no success. So eventually I did manual downloading the recovery and then flashing.

Try reinstalling the toolkit. I kept the downloads open and after every option/step was completed I had to reinstall the toolkit and it worked. Other than having to reinstall after each step/option it was unbelievable how easy the process was. BTW I was using Windows 7 . I hope this helps.

Well, as mentioned the bug fixes post, if you experience closing of windows when you select any option, make sure that only one cmd window is open.
Go to task manager & kill all cmd processes. Then run the toolkit.
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see these posts.

hey KGS this is an awesome tool, I just rooted my phone with it. Anyway, I'm looking to S-OFF my phone, I am currently on Inspiration 1.0.1, will I need to return to stock ICS to do the S-OFF? If so, do I just restore the backup I did before upgrading to inspiration? Also is there anything I need to do (I saw some comments further back about downloading some control bear files or something) Also, can I use a paperclip for the wire trick? Would it need to be insulated with some tape or something or can i use it bare? Thanks in advance, also keep up the great work!

Current phone details:

HTC Sensation, UNLOCKED, S-ON HBOOT 1.27, 4EXT Recovery, Inspiration 1.0.1 ROM with Sense 5 MOD, rooted

edit: KGS Utility closes on hitting Enter for S-OFF, why?

hey, I have this closing issue too. I have no other cmd windows open, only seems to work if i install KGS utility and run it after install from the tick box 'Run KGS Utility'

Edit: If run as administrator (Although told not to in the guide) doesn't close the window on option selection

I ran into the exact same issue. It seems like this tool no longer functions, since the developers decided to discontinue the Windows version of Control Bear.

Well, Revolutionary only supports devices with Hboot 1.18 or less.
Maybe if I modify this to make it work with other programs, it's possible.
EDIT: Yes, now works on Hboot 1.2x :)

uhm, can i ask?..i am hboot 1.29, s-on and i really really want to s-off coz i have screen issues..i want to calibraate my senny's LCD and @ganesh said that i need to be s-off to calibrate the screen..but seems the only way to s-off 1.2x hboots is via wire trick. does this utility of yours still need to use the wire trick? and do i need to unroot first and relock bootloader if i want to use your utility tool to s-off?

relock the bootloader is unecessary(i think)
but you will need the stock rom to succeed(link in my signature)

Oh, ok. Yes, i do have nandroid of my stock rom. My senny is 2nd.hand.and it came into my.possession already running official ics 4.0.3. I just got the.idea of.relocking bootloader and flashing stock recovery on the Revolutionary method but i now.remember i can't use it anyway. Lol..so, what is the way.of S-OFFing hboot 1.2x with your utility? Still involves the wire trick?
