The efs.img the backup .bat did is 17.2MB in size. Is that okay?
I'm asking because when I backed up the EFS in my previous Samsung phones (S2, Note1), the file was 20MB in size.

EDIT : Pff... I re-did the operation and the file is now 20.480KB (20.0MB) in size.

I confirm this also works for N7105, or at least it seems to have worked. It created a backup file, although I have not yet have an occasion to restore.
I feel a little secure now. Thank you.

N7100 EFS Backup / Restore

Help to preserve and restore the image of EFS partition:
* Need Root

For Windows

* Extract from the archive, connect the device to the USB debugging mode (System settings/Developer options/USB debugging) and run selected .bat (depending on the backup or restore)
* To retain the image of efs.img must be in a folder with Restore_EFS.bat

For Linux
For MACOS

* Extract from the archive, connect the device to the USB debugging mode (System settings/Developer options/USB debugging) and run RUN_ME into terminal (double click), select option...

What is EFS, Why it is necessary to backup

Hi .. I extracted it but after clicking Backup EFS.bat , it only show waiting for device ,nothing happen .. I selected USB debugging , also have samsung driver , what's wrong with my phone ? Can you please tell me why I can't backup?

Hi! So I just tried the Terminal method and it worked and did a backup. To be safe, I just tried to backup from my mac as well, but it didn't work, didn't find the file/directory. I'm running CM 10.1

May be you have flashed old rom. And backup you made was on newer rom.
If so then get multitool from my signature and flash new modem with that.

I used multi tool to restore modem, but imei and baseband is still unknown. Efs had been restored as well, still fails. Any help, please?

EDIT: Issue resolved. Went to Download mode and installed default stock ROM. My phone lost root, so I did root again. Thanks for the guide anyway. It was very helpful.

Can anyone list out complete contents of a efs backup. All folders and its values.

Did a backup in August of this year, my very first.Thought I lost it when I couldn't locate it to enable imei/sn/service state and mobile network not connected issues after:

1) Trying out CM11
2) Trying out SupremeBean

and then flasing back to stock 4.1.2 not my actual backup.Random stock firmware ends with XSE.

Eventually used guide from dr.ketan and fellow xda member sora9009 to flash modem mf1 and get back a working device.
However certain expects of corrupt device information remains:

Imei-back to original

S/N-back to original

Service state-in service(what a relief!!)

Mobile network state-not connected (as it was when corrupted)

But I am able to make and receive calls.

My efs backup consist of 14 items:

bluetooth folder-/bt_addr 0kb

drm folder-/play ready folder-/0002.PRV 0kb/DXDeviceKey 0kb/DXSecureDB 7.1kb/DXSECUREDB-secondary 8.3kb and NVS 0.1 kb

factory app folder-/baro_delta 0 kb/batt_cable_count 0 kb/earjack_count 0 kb/epen_count 0 kb/factorymode 0 kb/fdata 0 kb/hist_nv 0 kb/hw_ver 0 kb/keystr 0 kb/prepay 0 kb/serial_no 0 kb and test_nv 0.3 kb

imei folder - mps_code.dat 0 kb

wifi folder - (empty )

00000000.authtocont 0.1 kb
efs.img - 20 mb
efs.tar - 2mb
gyro_cal_data 0 kb
h2k.dat 1.1 kb
nv_data.bin 2 mb
nv_data.bin md5 0kb
nv.log 2.3 kb
wv.keys 0.2 kb

Could someone make a comparison to what they have with mine. The efs backup was done via TWRP recovery and as you can see there is no .bat file anywhere.
