Its really annoying and time consuming when we have to flash KITKAT ROM over LOLLIPOP / MARSHMALLOW / NOUGAT or vice versa. Some time ago, another xda member @rahulsnair, made the small sized (~1MB) zips, after flashing which you can directly flash L/M/N ROMs over KK or KK ROMs over L/M/N. What these ZiPs contained were essentially the updated modem files from the different firmwares. Unfortunately that was for A6000 1GB RAM version only. So, I replaced the files in that zip and modified it for A6000 plus. Using these would save you from the trouble of downloading over 1GB of stock ROM and flashing it first and ofcourse will save your precious time too.

All the credits goes to @rahulsnair only. I just replaced the files.

●●●HOW TO USE●●●
1) First boot into TWRP or any other recovery you have and wipe system, data, cache, dalvik.
2) Now flash the required zip. (e.g. if you want to move from Kitkat to Lollipop or Marshmallow or Nougat, flash KK2L zip)
3) Then flash the ROM you wanted.

You can download the zips from the attachments.

NOTE: Its for Lenovo A6000 Plus only. For A6000 refer to this thread by rahulsnair
Also, please consider voting in the POLL I've added in this thread, that will help others to know if this works.

Are you talking about stock lollipop to kitkat or cyanogen mod. Coz there is a cm file inside that zip
Yeah....that made me think too....its weird right..!!??
But, the same has earlier worked for Lenovo A6000 (check the tagged post in OP). So, I just replaced the .mbn files (of which I have no idea what they are for) with the ones from Lenovo A6000 plus. So, it should work for A6000 plus users. But, since I didn't tried that on my own, so I'm not 100% sure. Well, I'll really appreciate if you'll provide a feedback later.

And, "L" here represents all the Lollipop based ROMs (and Marshmallow too), MIUI, CM, MOKEE and others; and not just stock Lollipop.

Waiting for your feedback...

After flashing L2KK unable to boot the device please help
I've personally checked both the L2KK and KK2L zips. Both of them works.
Steps to How To Use:-
1) First wipe cache, dalvik, data, system and then flash the L2KK zip.
2) Then reboot to recovery again.
3) Now again wipe the cache, dalvik, data, system
4) Now, flash the KitKat based ROM zip of your choice.
