So this seems pretty straight forward but just to be sure for the revolutionary method I just install drivers, go to their site and download the beta key, run the revolutionary method and follow command window directions and NOT install the cwm recovery in thee cmd window but instead in the toolkit right? please let me know if I missed anything! All is very appreciated as this is not my phone... and of coarse the only thing that I can blame you for is an amazing way to root!

edit: never mind I decided to try another option to be safe and all worked and am now rooted!

Sorry for the possible stupid question, but how do I get the program to recognize the device? Stuck at the Revolutionary prompt "Waiting for device..." I connected and dis-connected the phone to the USB cable, but nothing appears.
And I thought I was above Noob-Proof

Bugger, should have read this earlier. I used the One X tut for Sensation, similar to this with a little more work. Ah well, end up at the same outcome.

If it is 1.18 or less,you should use Revolutionary to s-off.

My friend have a new sensation and he have upgraded to ics.
What can i do for him?
He want a custom rom with overclock!
With Htc desire hd was so easy thanks to an application that maded everything with just a button.

Hi,

On the Sensation, it is not so easy.
To check your hboot:
Go to settings/ power and untick fastboot.
Power off your device.
Power on holding volume down and power button together.
You will see your hboot at the top.
