Yes either of the three methods linked will work to gain S-off if you have Hboot 1.27

Well as far as links to Kernels go you can get several from the Compilation thread it has a whole list of kernels and mods with links.

And I will contribute these two files, they are not my work. Madmaxx82 made the 4EXT Recovery and Chainfire made the SuperSU app. Maybe this can help you add more to your toolkit....

If you S-off your device go to this thread to see several methods to SIM unlock your device for free. But you have to be S-off.

It may be a good idea for new people to see what they are up to, what are the cons and the pro's etc. If they do know what they are doing the can contribute to others and if you aren't around here anymore they still know what to do
