nevermind
I have wasted so much time on SALT and have nothing to show for. I've ran it off a USB and on Ubuntu. It is not an alternative to LGUP. I have four LG's and and it won't flash any of them.
K 20 plus
Aristo 2
Aristo 4
Stylo 4
It will read the partitions on the K 20 plus but not the other three. I think it works better as a desktop on Ubuntu 20.4 than it does on a USB. I never was to get to WIFI to work when booting off a USB. I bet you would have to plug directly into the modem which I don't have access to the modem.
I boot windows and kali off of a USB. And I thought Kelly was a pain to get the Wi-Fi to work but it'll do it off a USB WIFI adapter. Not SALT though. I had hopes up for this to work. If need to flash stock firmware on an LG, LGUP is it. This is no alternative, it sucks to admit that.
I apologize for offending you, that wasn't my intent. I think the problem has to do with reading the ARB.So your WiFi is not working and you think thats the fault of SALT ? SALT has nothing (absolutely nothing) to do with your WiFi. SALT is no linux distribution SALT is a program. you might refer to mAid and/or FWUL which contain SALT as a tool maybe but if so then this is the wrong place for issues related to that. Anyways so you have issues getting to read or flash your devices and instead of follwing the FAQ and sharing the debug log you just spit out your frustration. I mean thats your choice but consider to ask for help before first.
Unfortunately SALT is not under active development anymore but i fix issues when they arrive (and I'm able to do so).

flashing a KDZ is best done with LGUp. SALT is a last resort only and if it works or not depends on your current LAF version (SALT will show that -> must be 100001 or 100002)Hello, I have a G FLEX 2 H955 (Europe) on which it is impossible to access fastboot, neither manually nor with the ADB command. I want to flash it completely, is it possible with Salt and should I install MAID or not?
Thank you, I don't understand your whole answer (I'm French) but I noted that it is better to flash with LGUP. I have already tried with LG Flash Tool and LGUP and had problems getting these apps to work, I will try again.flasher un KDZ est mieux fait avec LGUp. SALT est un dernier recours uniquement et si cela fonctionne ou non dépend de votre version actuelle de LAF (SALT montrera que -> doit être 100001 ou 100002)
