I don't have the driverid.properties file in that folder.

shall I create one? EDIT - I tried that, didn't do ****. Something wrong with my install?

cant get my mini pro into flash mode. it always keeps telling me USB debugging is off, while its on and MSC mode is also activated.
it seems like it will only connect with USB debugging on once its fully booted up. but not before, or at least not when pressing the back button at the same time :S

p.s. Im using v0.6.4 now, used 0.5.3 before, but same problem with both.

edit: actually 0.5.0 beta still has that device.properties line, 0.5.3 doenst any more. but deleting anything else apart from that one line also didnt help.

edit²: 0.5.0beta seems to be more strict, keeps telling USB debugging is off all the time. what do?

when I replug the phone for flashing, it tells me

ALLRIGHT FOUND THE PROBLEM. YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO PRESS THE VOLUME DOWN KEY IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO ENTER FLASH MODE. WHY ISNT THIS MENTIONED ANYWHERE? PLEASE ADD THIS TO THE OP SO THAT NOOBS LIKE ME DONT HAVE TO LOOK FOR AN ANSWER FOR 2 DAYS.

Flashtool can be downloaded on the Flashtool Homepage (on Installation tab)

As Flashtool was originally developped for X10, you can find a lot of information on the Original X10 Flashtool thread

Xperia Active should have codename "Satsuma"
and
Live With Walkman should have codename "Coconut"

Run as root or add udev rules as I posted on installation tab of FT homepage
