That's not for G5,that's motoZ's rom.And it's for moto zplay's nougat rom:

The Moto Z Play is XT1635... But the file in the link is XT1650-5?

I am being a bit at a loss now. Why would you be posting a firmware for a Z Play provided this being the Moto Z forum / thread please.
Because the contents of this post discussion include MOTO Z Play.
I found the issue that causes Moto G4 users to be unable to use your tool.
Problems arise due to the odd key/model used in the requests "Moto G (4)".
The POST url needs to be URL encoded (spaces turn into %20, as expected) but the model argument in the JSON needs to stay as is, with standard spaces.
I would appreciate if you could update your source to support models with spaces in their names. Thank you.

EDIT: While using the URL you provided works, supplying a name with spaces into the index.php form results in different encoding and thus the requests still don't come through (Moto+G+%284%29)

Actually i have same phone with you
My phone is retcn and had playstore
I think we should use retus system
And get other firmware files from retcn like boot and recovery
And try to relock
I haven't tested but i think this is way to handle playstore

I've never relocked I don't have experience
I think it's retus because i asked from moto support in my country, he told me they are using retus system on retcn firmware but he wasn't so sure
