This mod / app had so much promise for me. I spent days and days trial and error and finally got it booting on my Note 3 and I could switch between virtual systems but I could not ever Flash to any virtual system it would always fail only thing I could do was just keep making backups and load the backups. So in essence my multi system was really just me flashing creating a nandroid backup comma The Flash and something else and then just restoring the backups when I wanted to switch

I get so frustrated with it that I have not even touched my Note 3 in 3 weeks it was literally the last thing I was working with and I just got too frustrated to keep dealing with it.

I think the actual system and framework might be one of the most brilliant I've ever seen. The gui, the style of scripting… the wraparound Scripts with zero explanation comma very poorly explained and nearly impossible to understand 4 even Advanced power users. I'm certainly not advance but I am definitely a power user and I'm not kidding when I say if I took me a hundred and eighty man hours just understand what the hell I was attempting to do

Thanks for the polite request!!!

I've pushed the source code of the current version, as is, to MultiSystem repo. I wanted to clean it up and update the preliminary design (with likely many mistakes) of my first APK, but I didn't have time to finish it.

i'm sorry, i should have been more polite... i've experienced many developers refusing to publish their source code and i was expecting a similar response.

thank you! whatever the condition of the code, now i can work on it at least! :D
This gives me so much hope. I really had a bad experience trying to sort through what was trying to do what where and how with each script and launching it's a miracle I was able to get as far as I did

You guys, I nearly got the thing to work on my note 5 with no external SD card, by hacking the mountpoints, and nearly ruining my phone...the technology is solid, the system is solid.

It's the front end that makes instalation difficult. And the directions... and that is by design of the author, who doesn't want threads flooded with bricked "oops. I shoulda done smarter"

I knew, if I bricked my 5, I wasn't supposed to come ask for support. I deserved to be punished for my stupidity...i should be black balled unless I agree to support all the note 5 users who didn't read...ugh. I'd run away from...the Internet.

So, get it running on a device that's listed, and you're in the upper echelon of xda users. Then you'll be able to answer your own questions

When comes MS 2.X probably?

MultiSystem v2.x is the 2nd generation that will support different ROMs with separate data & cache. It'll also provide options to skip microSD card partitioning to make it easy to install & operate for a longer list of supported devices. No ETA though! I'm very busy writing my PhD dissertation; just wanted to provide updates for the followers of this project.
Or where can I find it, if it is already out there? ;)

I am having an issue installing MultiSystem. I am on jasmine rom 6.1. I downloaded busybox and installed it. I installed terminal emulator. And when I install multisystem then check through terminal emulator it shows multisystem installed. When I update configurations and check again it says multisystem not found

Clicking select zip does nothing totally!
I followed the instructons and installed successfully + plus I tried booting to stock virtual Img and it worked (checked status for confirming)
How do I finally install the rom zip into the secondary virtual system??
As I said select zip button is doing nothing.. in fact even reboot buttons and launch terminal etc.. are not doing anything
Im on stock tw 6.0.1, rooted and busybox installed and updated using MultiSystem

haven't seen ANY chat in MONTHS here but lets see if I get a reply in the OP it states ...
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
• Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - Verizon Variant [Developer Edition]
does this mean the retail converted Note 4 can not do this?

@hsbadr or is anyone running this on the N910V ... im tired of wiping and restoring and wiping again if a ROM doesn't work right this process seems perfect.

So if anyone has this running on the N910V any advice or suggestions?

when i tap on Create Virtual Rom the LED indicator glows Green. The i couple of seconds later my Galaxy S5 make a Reboot. after reboot MultiSystem folder doenst exist anymore

"requirements: USB SD Card reader." AWWWWWWW damn. Just when I was starting to get excited about setting this up, now I guess I gotta go buy some stuff. Unless there is a way around this? Was wondering why my phone not detected at all in that partition program... Strange it shows both my internal and sd card just fine in windows explorer.

Annnd now I'm stuck in a bootloop! Awesome.

edit: OK I've decided to reflash with Odin to a "better" fw and hopefully that will fix this, anyone know the best one to use when trying to install a 6.0.1 rom like Insanity for the g900t?
I don't know if you have solved this issue by now, but you could've used AParted, an Android app that does all that partitioning labor from your phone.

I know it's a long shot but I have a rooted Samsung J3 Galaxy Emerge SM-J327P and I was wondering if you could possibly add support for it? @hsbadr I know your busy so if you can't I understand. I have all of the system files needed, we've had root for awhile but I'd really like to do more with this device. Thank you one way or the other! :)

So is there a way to make this app compatible with App2SD? I can't figure out a way to have 2 ext4 partitions mounted so I can have my App2SD linked data in one and multisystem on the other. This may be impossible but I would like to have the functionality of both, right now I have more need for extra app space so I am unable to try out multisystem as well for my locked at&t galaxy s5

I tried booting to a virtual img of my stock rom and I lost root on rebooting. Tried booting back to stock system but I don't have root anymore and can't check what system I'm on. Does anyone have ideas how to fix this?

For some reason I cannot copy/paste or cut/paste a downloaded system.img to the system img folder in Multisystem, using ES File Explorer, rooted, Jasmine Rom 5.0.2, SM-N900V.

I keep getting /MultiSystem/img/system/system.img: open failed: EACCES (Permission Denied).

Any help?

Try ROM TOOLBOX PRO I've found things that it allows me to do that other root browsers would not. So I've stuck with it for 7 or 8 years now. And if/when you get ROM TOOLBOX go to root browser and find the . Img file you speak of and instead of copy or cut and paste, use "Move" then select the file to be moved, then go to the folder and open it then click "Paste"

Tip: in ROM TOOLBOX once you're in the "root browser classic" tab, scroll left on the bottom little icon tray and you'll see " favorites". Set up your most used folders so that Everytime you go in to root browser you don't have to navigate thru all those folders to get to sdcard/download/xda_forums or where ever it is you store stuff. And especially handy when moving/copy files from folder to folder.
Good luck
Hope that helps.
