Anybody know where the developer went??

from my Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900T on AT&T, Android 5.0. DOB1 with twi5ted lollipop ROM v7
He probably has a real job!!! Yes it has been a while. I have never been able to get this to work on my G900A. I get close and no cigar. The original video tutorial was too fast and not enough info and the 20 minute video takes too much time on the prep, which is NOT the hard part of this system. I had it on Loop0 once, but then could not get the virtual image to work, soft and hard bricking my phone along the way....LOL. I have tried it many different ways. As far as I can see, there is no way to create an empty IMG and then restore to it, which would seem normal to me. The first time I copied the stock from within the app and then tried to use FF to Wipe and Restore the virtual rom, FF said it ran out of space even though i had plenty space in the EXT4 partition. Then Hsbadr sent me a command to create an img file from the current stock image to a file and then i copied it to /MultiSystem/img/system and even that did not work. Tried it again last nite. I read ALL the posts. And his new steps to install also do not work, on my phone anyway. It seems to be very hard to get a step-by-detailed step procedure for this system. Start to finish in the correct order to get even ONE virtual rom running. Its really too bad, but it does seem like such a complicated system to develop. Linux is truely powerful...yes, powerfully confusing!!! LOL.

THATS MY STORY AND I AM STICKING TO IT !!! (THE ONLY REASON I WANTED TO TRY THIS TO BEGIN WITH IS BECAUSE OF THE DARN LOCKED BL ON THIS ATT S5 SO WE CANNOT UPDATE THE BL OR KERNEL AND SINCE IDIOT GOOGLE, WITH THE GREAT HELP OF S(H)AMSUNG, THEY MADE IT REALLY DIFFICULT WITH THIS ART STUFF AND OTHER THINGS THAT THEY KEEP DOING TO MAKE US PEOPLE WITH LOCKED BL'S SICK TO OUR STOMACH...ALL I REALLY WANT IS FOR VIPER4ANDROID TO WORK AGAIN WHICH REQUIRES PERMISSIVE MODE (SO THEY SAY)):crying::rolleyes::cowboy::laugh::eek:

You need to make virtual IMGs for the 5 (or more) ROMs in
Code:
/MultiSystem/img/system/
assuming there's enough space in the 2nd SD card partition (EXT4 MultiSystem partition). All ROMs share all partitions (including data) except system ATM. If the ROMs are very different, you'll need to wipe system data before switching.

Not tested! Test it yourself & report me back!

Read Q&A thread & follow OP instructions! You'll find installation log in
Code:
/data/log/MultiSystem.log
You may need to manually mount system & rootfs rw, if it didn't work by default.

The current version may work on S3 as well; it's not tested though.

The dev has real life, family, & work. This is a hobby & I'm supporting it in my free time.
Thanks for info ;) there is only possibility of soft brick yes?

from my understanding no one has successfully accomplished this and no sign of the dev in a bit

I'm on my primary now. Whenever I want to switch, I touch the name of my secondary in data slot 1. Lots of people have accomplished this including myself. Btw my primary is a lollipop rom, and secondary is kitkat.

Well i stand corrected. Can you explain how to do this? So many posts of people not getting it working.

Honestly I just followed the instructions in the OP. I did nothing different from what it said. I haven't been keeping up with everyone's questions, but just make sure that your device is supported and follow the instructions. [emoji3] also I think some people were having better luck after changing kernels......but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I have a Verizon Galaxy S5 running stock lolipop unrooted at the moment. My company recently switched to Google Apps for work which forced Android Device Policy requirements to my device, two of which are Device Encryption and Not be rooted. Would it be possible for me to have a image or rom so-to-speak of that is rooted so I can play with "root stuff" and another rom or whatever that is not rooted and is encrypted so I can attach my device to said Google Apps for work account?

Any thoughts? :)

Works for me on S5 G900F however when switching between the two roms it always upgrades system 300+ apps. Also lose some data like settings when swapping between them too.

I can confirm that MultiSystem works on Galaxy S3 LTE I9305 works correctly ;)
Thanks for reporting! All S3 variants are officially supported now.

You can add unrooted/rooted virtual IMGs. Encryption is not tested yet.

This will get fixed in the coming version, by adding options to separate data & cache for each ROM. No ETA though!

So how do I install like 5 roms? And how do I choose from them?
I dont see how to do that in the tutorial.
I am sorry but I thought this was a different thread, I know nothing about this. I thought this was the dual boot patcher thread, every response I gave you was based on dual boot patcher. Sorry man.

Is this really what i think it is?
A Form of MultiRom / Multi Boot

(The ability to Boot more than 1 OS on your device)

Following the notes, this is the gist of what i can pickup, just abit of work to do for a Quick test to see really what it does.

I have been wanting a form of Multi OS on Note 3 for a very long time, and if this really is what i think it is, Where can i buy you a beer.

Certainly is, great work done here by the developer. I've tried myself and love it. I mentioned something and they're already working on it. Its to have separate cache and data too so then its fully two separate roms. Works amazingly on my S5 G900F

After installing it, when I updated busybox thru terminal emulator as told in guide, this is what the log which was produced is saying "CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE DEPENDENCIES: "libsigchain.so" is 32-bit instead of 64-bit"
The ROM which I'm using is 64bit Resurrection Remix 5.1.1
And there's no notification light while booting.
Log is attached, have a look guys
