Tried to flash XA2 H4113 (dual SIM) - no problem
Firmware CE1_1312-1454_50.2.A.0.352_R1B
Approx 4-5 minutes
Partitionxxx.sin moved to folder partition (created on my own)
sim lock.ta removed (maybe it is not necessary)

I own XA2 Ultra H4213 and I want to upgrade to Android 9 Pie. For some unknown reason, I find the FTF extracted version of the ROM with strange new FILENAMES I should say. I mean even the FLASHTOOL was giving me constant notifications that :

The filenames like PARTITION.SIN SYSTEM.SIN in the FLASHING process are not the same way in this new Android 9 File. They are something like "system_X-FLASH-ALL-18AE.SIN" . When I ignored such errors and continued with the flashing process, my phone was stuck on booting screen with SONY logo for almost 20 mins and didn't proceed any further. Upon further attempts to make it work, my phone became SOFT BRICKED and wont boot at all except FASTBOOT and FLASHMODE. I somehow managed to get back to OREO.

So my question is. How am I supposed to flash this new Android 9 ROM with different SIN filenames ?

I have tried to get newflasher to find my phone for the last many hours without any luck. I simply can't install the Gordon Gate drivers, because Windows tells me that the driver files are not drivers. I have tried everything I know. I have tried installing them several different ways (including safe mode and with driver signing disabled) and I have even tried it on two different Windows 10 computers.

A few months ago I managed to do it when upgrading to Pie (and I've installed lots of adb drivers in the past), but now it just doesn't work. I don't understand it. Does anyone have an idea or another way to install these drivers?
I have tried most of the advice given to other people in this thread with the same errors, without any luck.

I know mayby it's to late but did you try it with the flashmode drivers from sony?
Also Newsflasher works in flashmode, not via adb. So you need drivers for flashmode.
For example i use a xperia xz2 and never used the gordongate drivers from Newsflasher; only the sony USB drivers for my device (there the flashmode driver is included).

Giving up trying OMNI ROM and tryed to run newflasher v13 to flash 52.0.A.8.50_R13B/R15 Stock and I get this error message:

Never had trouble with newflasher before. EMMA FLASHTOOL does not work either. Don't find the device at ALL.

Any suggestions? ?

Drivers right? At page 83 one other guy has the same problem and it turns out that it was a driver problem.

Riiight... ? I have ALWAYS had driver problems with the XZ3 since the Day I bought it. Crappy phone. Bought me a S10+ instead. No need to root or flash firmware every month, or every week. ? ?

It could be also a slow USB port.
I've seen the error during flash with a Netbook, if I use the USB on the left. I can recreate the error to 100%. If I change to the USB on the right, the flash process works without any problem.

Your question is not related to this thread

IT IS possible to backup TA with the XZ1 and XZ1 c, but as you wrote, you've unlocked your device (unfortunately) before backing up TA. Means, your DRM keys are lost forever - there's no way back! The only thing you can do now is: Have a look inside this thread and follow the instructions; if you have questions, please ask there
