Hey man had some issues with your Recovery X and I used this thread to sort it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1858738&page=3 and here are my comments....

Ok

I had some issues here - got the Acro S out of the box and got root pretty easily. Then tired a few methods for CWM and had issues.

Followed this thread and Tried the Recover X project but it would not boot into recovery - I would tap the Sony logo and the phone would go to a black back lit screen and stay there and required hard reset.

Initially I thought it might have been because I didnt have an SD card inserted - so I inserted an SD card and tried again and used both the Sony Ericsson + Acro S selection in X project and also the Sony + S selection in the X project and still no luck.

Finally used the 2.5 listed in the comments by ejstubbs in this link = http://www.4-shared.eu/download/bB84o8VOFX3HtdPEA4fibW/CWM6-cDM-v2-5.html
and this worked fine - initially tried tapping the screen but then found that either volume up or down key boots into CWM and from there its as excellent as always.

Thanks ejstubbs - I can now got back to bed, I couldnt sleep until I had this done : )

Oh yea currently on Rooted 6.2.B.1.96

Om going to install Arconium 8.2 on my Arc S and before that I must install CWM, which leads me to choose between two CWM-Based Recovery in either GB(Gingerbread) or ICS(see pic below). I got on my Arc S for the moment an original Xperia version of ICS and the Arconium is Gingerbread-based. So is the CWM-Based Recovery GB the one I should choose? And also, should I leave the Developer mode unchoosen?

In your case, choose CWM-Based Recovery (ICS) as you are currently on an ICS Rom. And lease the Dev Mode blank as it is only to download the recovery package and avoid installation by RecoverX.

I installed Arconium 8.2 on my Arc S with CWM, but I forgot to install the Arc S LT18 patch and when I reboot nothing more happend then that the Sony logo comes up on screen. So when Im trying to start up CWM by pressing volume button down nothing happens anymore only the Sony logo appears Strange... I did an backup, but still I must do that in CWM How can I start CWM again and upload the patch?

Seems also that I missed these:
- DooMKernel (modules included for v15-v19) or StockPlus (modules in download section).
- Baseband 64/66. Baseband 36 requires a patch.

You bricked your device ! It's useless trying to go in CWM as when you install a new ROM, the previous recovery is erased as the /system partition is formated. Your only hope now, is to try to restore your device by using your manufacturer sofware.

PS : If you rea the main post entirely you would have seen "On the first launch, the download may fail"

I used this to install CWM recovery on my locked bootloader device (rooted and busybox installed) and although both the desktop app and the mobile one report a succesful install I can't access recovery. I tried doomlords' reobooter app, pressing vol+ at the sony logo, tapping the screen at the sony logo, a combination of both, but the device hangs on a black screen and doesn't enter recovery.

Please instruct further.

    Hello world !!!

I'm very happy to present you a project of a new kind : The RecoverX Project

The goal of this project is to gather ALL the recoveries for ALL android devices in ONE tool which install them on the devices. RecoverX is coded in C++ thanks to QtSDK and allow to install a recovery on more than 150 different devices !!!

You just have to select your phone and your recovery, to click "Install" and RecoverX does the rest, It's as simple as that ;)

This program have been published on XDA News : Here and here

Behind this tool : over 120 - 180 hours of work, 4200 lines of code and +600 uses by day !!!

Here is the list of the recoveries which are available :

    recovery.png

This program require different prerequesties, depending of your device

    - Wether you need an unlocked bootloader to flash the recovery partition (and fastboot drivers on your PC)
    - Wether you need root access and usb debugging activated (if busybox is not installed, RecoverX will ask you the permission to install it).

To boot in bootloader mode :
    - Tape "reboot bootloader" in terminal emulator.
    - Or shutdown your device, hold "Volume +", "Volume -" and press power button.

To boot in recovery mode (depending of the device) :
    - Tape "reboot recovery" in terminal emulator.
    - Or shutdown your device, enter in bootloader mode and select "Recovery".
    - Or press back button when the device start.
    - Or press volume button when the device start.
    - Or tap the screen when the device start.

PS : On the first lauch, the download may fail, please, try to restart the program again.

Today is the first year of The RecoverX Project.

The 14th July, in 2012, I published the first version of RecoverX, which was only working for 9 Xperia devices. Today, RecoverX is compatible with almost 150 android devices.

I'm very proud of this achievement and I will continue my effort in order to improve the user experience.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone, developpers, contributors, and users for supporting me in this big project, thank you !
