I get a assert failed ro.product.device
error when I flash the file from the OP.

I'm s-offd and running touch recovery. Have no other issues flashing roms nor other files.

What phone and carrier are you using? Looks like an HTC one from your sig. Sprint?

M7wls is the Sprint m7
I know. But I also know that sometimes people don't change/update their tapatalk sigs ;)

Switched to twrp recovery and it works. CWM touch just doesn't ever work right really.

If it's not one thing it's another, guess I'll stick with twrp this time.

Yeah, it SHOULD work with CWM but frankly I can't stand it, so I only tested on TWRP. Can't remember a lot of issues with CWM prior to now so either you're the first CWM user on it, or the first to have a problem. ;)

I guess I'm just gonna stick with what works reliably. Twrp wrong great, not sure why I left it anyway.

Been using this for a while and I just started getting same error in CWM. Tried a fresh download and still didn't work. I just modified updater script and took out the assert get prop section and works fine now
If anybody else tries this DO NOT USE MODIFIED ZIP ON ANY OTHER DEVICE.

That getprop prevents issues with this zip being used on the wrong phone. Removing it is dangerous...just remember if you change phones to NOT use your modified script.

Now, if you're saying that the getprop statement causes it to blow up on CWM that means CWM changed something they should have left alone. Not a good idea to remove that line for any reason.

Idk what caused the issue at all. And yeah, I normally wouldn't have messed with it but I know your zip works fine. Suggestion noted nonetheless. I'ok try a little troubleshooting instead of screwing with things

Okay so I installed CWM via Rom Manager the other day after trying out TWRP. It put me on version 6.0.3.5 ( I believe). Just reflashed 6.0.3.1 from computer and everything works fine now.

Well for starters, anything more than about 30 seconds you should reboot into recovery and run it again. There's a rare bug I never tracked down that causes it to stick. Just jump back to recovery and re-run it and it'll be fine.

How do I get back to recovery? I've tried every button combination and it only locks the screen. On other devices I'd have just pulled the battery but that's not possible on ours

Nevermind, figured it out

I've used this many times without an issue on my HTC One using TWRP. Tonight though, it hung up on me. Currently stuck on "Checking /devlog partition". When I attempt to hold volume down and power the screen locks and asks me "swipe to unlock" and the Home and Back buttons at the bottom of the phone flash. I've tried holding the Vol down and Power buttons for 30+ seconds and nothing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Yea, I'm trying to remember what exactly I did. I just think that, with the screen unlocked, I held down the power button and the vol down until it rebooted.

Its been a while so sorry. I don't exactly remember what worked and haven't used this since. TWRP is so easy to wipe with anyways. IMHO

I went back and read a few more posts in this thread. Saw where someone mentioned to hold phone to a bright light and press/hold power button. Just did that and it powered off. Was able to get back into recovery, re-ran superwipe and it completed successfully.

Thanks to whomever figured out the bright light reboot. That worked!
