I dug around some more; somehow the root part of SRK is screwed with my phone. I won't let me run ADB sideload and the error I mentioned earlier is due to the fact that the TWRP supplied with SRK cannot mount the /data partition, and this is needed for the custom recovery install.

Paulobrien's TWRP version will allow sideload though, and going with his version got me as far as being able to start the ADB sideload option (in TWRP), without getting any errors. SRK then gives me "error: device not found", and digging some more turns out that my phone is most likely unauthorized, even though I made 100% sure that the key was accepted in dev options, revoked, and authorized again to be sure. Still no go.

tl;dr SRK is probably a nice tool for the people it'll work for - I had to manually install TWRP and root. Dev, please take notice cheers.

I tried to unlock using DC unlocker and it have a red message

now it is asking for Type Password to Decrypt Storage

Please help

I'm having the same problem, allthough I got there in a different way. I was resetting the phone to stock. I sold it and the guy wanted the bootloader relocked and all that. So I flashed stock recovery then factory reset. Then I relocked the bootloader using this tool.

Everything seemed to go fine until I got the red boot message now and when the device boots up it asked for my encryption password. I enter my pin and it says "Your password is correct but your data is corrupt and must be reset." I then hit reset but it fails to reset and I'm back where I started. Can anyone help with this please? I know my way around adb and fastboot for the most part.

My main issue right now is finding a way to enable debugging without being able to boot the phone.. or finding a way to unlock the bootloader or flash twrp without enabling debugging... Then I could re unlock the bootloader, re flash twrp, dencrypt and go from there.

Just wanted to add, this is on a VIE-L09 P9 plus.

Here's what I did.

When I see the message saying you need decryption key, I tried to unlock again the bootloader. It does factory reset afterwards.

I forced flash update.app, relock bootloader and I got an issue with themes.

To fix that, I unlocked bootloader and flash TWRP. I flashed the data zip bundled on the firmware. Flashed again the stock recovery and update.app
Relock again the bootloader and it did a factory reset again
after that, its all stock

I'm not entirely sure but I think the app might have caused my partition to become corrupt.
Has anyone experienced similar and know how to fix it?
I have a folder in /data/data that can't be deleted.

Hi guys,

Currently I have a oemcode C636 on my P9 L09.

Is there an advantage to change it C432?
C432 is the European variant whereas C636 is Asia Pacific variant. Not sure which one will get updates faster.
