This release can normally root latest devices (towelroot implemented)
This release has a new feature : Check Devices -> Check update. Choose a device and you will have a table of CDF. Double click on one of them it will check release. Double click again once release is fetched and FT will download / decrypt and create FTF from files downloaded from sony servers
Feel free to report if you find bugs.
PS : This update applies only on release 0.9.16.1 or 0.9.17.1

Towelroot exploit won't root some latest firmwares such as T3 18.1.A.1.17 and Z1 14.3.B.0.310 (Japan).

can't install latest version
After I installed flashtool 0.9.16.0,,,It's showing startup error,,,I can't open it...
What that error message says? Do you follow installation instructions? By the way there is installation package 0.9.16.1 and beta version 0.9.17.1.
not able to download 9.16.1, always get a page error if i try to download
latest version, drivers installed (with driver signature enforcing off), phone connected as MSC, debug is on, but I can't seem to flash my xperia arc, LT15a version. It does this:
And that's it. The ftf was pulled with xperifirm and decrypted/packed with flashtool. What am I missing?

you need to put phone in flashmode, e. g:
-do all your stuff in flashtool until it tells you to connect the phone
-powere OFF phone. hold volume down while connecting the phone to pc. green led will lit & flashtool start its work. wait patiently.
NOTE: the flashmode button can differ on some models in that case use google to find out which button its exactly

Do not turn the phone to flashmode until FT asks you to do it. There is a timeout on flashmode is nothing is sent to the phone. And while bundle preparation is not finished, nothing is sent to the phone.
