Problem solved by using Flashtool V.0.9.19.8.

I just received my Z5 Compact branded SFR and I planned to spend a SFR firmware firmware to a Generic FR (FTF with the previously created). Only I have this issue :

Which version of Flashtool are you using ?

I used very last 0.9.19.8 release. Obviously after the log this is a non-installed driver, and obviously the case when I switch turning off the smartphone and Vol. low and USB connection, the Device Manager there is not driver installed on the device S1 Service :




PS : Windows 10 Pro 64-bit / Java 8 U60

Yes looks like a driver issue
Install PC Compagnon and do a first repair with PCC. See if it works. Then retry with Flashtool

I noticed that the Drivers aren't installed
you need to install them first and then we'll see if that's the problem
Go to C:\Flashtool\drivers (that's the default Diractory) and run "Flashtool-drivers.exe"
follow the instructions it's easy ( check Flashmode and fastboot Drivers)
PS: if you are using Windows 8/8.1/10 there is another way to install the drivers just let me know

bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

Install Flashmode and Fastboot Drivers

bcdedit -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF

There is an option in windows boot menu to restart with drivers signing turned off. Isn't that easier?

Thanks for your helpful tools, Something strange had happened to me XPERIA x10a, after I flashed it the working bands switched from x10a to x10i bands for 3G as the service menu says:

Working band/s:
GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900
UMTS_BC1, UMTS_BC4, UMTS_BC8

So what happened, is there any way to switch the working bands for 3G again?

i'm trying to flash the lollipop new official ftf generic italian for this phone, from kitkat.

previously i had experience with Xperia L and many FTF/Roms, but here with the new FlashTool (and Xperia M2) version i'm blocked. the flashing procedure hangs on "backup TA Partition", tells me with an alert similar to "Those data will not be flashed : unit 00000907, TA unit 0000091A.", (i searched in google. only reference i found is here (click), but with a Z3, not an M2 ).

then i stop the flashing and my phone is working at all, same as before, with 4.4.4 .

anyone can give me an hand?

Flashtool sources are on github : Androxyde repositories

WARNING : Since Xperia Z, sony added a new set of files I called bootbundle. Those files can be bundled from 0.9.13 and can be flashed from 0.9.13 only. To all those flashing devices from Z edition to all after Z, it is highly advised to use 0.9.13 and to be sure FTF you flash contain the bootbundle set. I've been reported of hard bricks because of missing such set of files from bundles.

I WANT TO GET YOUR ATTENTION ABOUT THE LATEST BRANCH 0.9.19. Without FSC, the tool will by default include simlock.ta if this file is present in the FTF. The result will be a bricked phone
As a workaround, until I release a patch, please please tick the exlude simlock.ta if you see it in the list.
0.9.19.6 fixes the simlock.ta issue. This file is by default excluded. Then it will not be flashed until you explicitely untick the exlcude simlock box. Do it at your own risk.
