turn off my phone
Run Flashtool
Connect button>x10mini pro
press back key
plug the USB
green light gets on,
Flash button with>X10a_2_0_2_A_0_24 Generic
then it says:

I'm going nuts.

Oh sorry... Hi;
I'm going directly into my problem. Sorry for my agression. :\

Whenever I try to open "X10FlashTool.exe", it creates a file named "error.log" which says:

"Error loading log4j properties file"

I've searched xda and google (which sent me xda again :p) and couldn't find any solutions.

there were two suggestions;

1- (from Bin4ry) trying whole process on another computer
2- Win7 64bit/32bit difference.

I tried all of them on following list;

1-My computer (win7 64bit)
2-Netbook (win7 32bit)
3-Another computer (win7 64bit)
4-An old laptop (win Xp 32bit)

All the same. I insalled jdk and jre 64/32 bit versions but nothing changed.

Please help, I'm out of computers. :D
I'll install Dualtouch damn thing -oh no, not damn- one day to my x10 if FlashTool allows. :p

EDIT:

also I tried non-gui version and it gave me same error on "cmd"

EDIT #2:

I created a "log4j.properties" file in the same directory with flashtool, error log changed;

"log4j:ERROR Could not read configuration file from URL [file:/C:/Users/Hakan/Desktop/x10/FlashTool/log4j.properties].

something is missing I think... but... :\

I downloaded it fine. Though in my attempt at flashing the multi-touch I clicked "customize" and "optimize" first and now my phone won't boot. it just sticks at the Sony Ericsson screen. I am on the 2.2 FreeX10.... did I do summut wrong? :(
I did the same, clicked optimize.. Then it started rebooting by it self.
Could not enter the flash mode... the phone would reboot. I managed to do the clean, clean cache, etc. but it did not help.

I managed finally now to enter flash mode and am doing a repair on the phone.. just hope I havent lost everything now :/
All this for silly multitouch.. lol...

anyhow, this is how I managed to enter flash mode finally:
The middle key + power key = reboot

I let the usb be connected in the phone, then I used the middle key + power key, until it vibrates (means forced reboot).

Then fast!! Put the USB cable in another port than the one you used.. then wait some secs and it should work.. at least it did here.

I manged to do it three times..
To sum up:
1) let the usb cable be in the phone (since it's hard to plug fast!)
2) unplug the usb from the pc, remember which port (do not use the same port afterwards!)
3) hold middle key + power, wait for vibration
4) put usb cable in ANOTHER usb port in the pc..
5) wait... then it suddenly lights green
6) use repair in sonyericsson application

It seems it went ok for me now.. but I guess I lost everything now :p I'll see soon

log4j error

"Error loading log4j properties file" here too.
can you try to create a log4j.properties at the place it looks for in the error log with this content inside :

log4j.rootLogger=info, textarea
log4j.appender.textarea=org.logger.TextAreaAppender
log4j.appender.textarea.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
log4j.appender.textarea.layout.ConversionPattern=%d{dd/mmm/yyyy HH:mm:ss} - %-5p - %m%n

Look in the post above and READ the lines, there are some SPACES because of formatting issues.
Please delete the Spaces in your file. For example

org.logger.TextAreaAppende r --> org.logger.TextAreaAppender

Hmmm seems like you don't have jars in the right place

the structure should the this one :

FlashTool\x10flasher.jar
FlashTool\X10FlashTool.exe
FlashTool\x10flasher_lib\log4j-1.2.16.jar
FlashTool\x10flasher_lib\foxtrot-core-3.0.jar
FlashTool\x10flasher_lib\forms-1.3.0.jar
FlashTool\x10flasher_lib\AXMLPrinter2.jar

Is this correct ?

Did it and got following error log:

then, others are OK..

I asked my 2 friends to try to open flashtool, program worked for one of them. He has nothing installed about sony ericsson, but java 32bit. I've just reinstalled 32bit jre and jdk with a clean registry which did not work.

Sorry, I'm a complete NOOB when it comes to this. I'm running a Win7 x64 box and am using the 2.1_2.0.A.0.504_GENERIC_x10A firmware package provided by you guys. I run the Flasher and receive this:

Please try deactivate all Virus Tools and run the installer again, just to be sure thats not a problem with some Antivirus!

I am running it as admin. Does it matter that I'm using AT&T? I don't even have that option to turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging. Maybe AT&T locked down the newer x10s?

New Version solved everything! You guys are geniuses!
