The latest version 0.9.24.1 have problems in flashing E4 E2105 device. It always get stuck on "Reading device information", "Opening TA partition 2" or "Ending flash session" for infinite. I re-tried many many times and it always pick one of the mentioned task to get stuck in. I flashed my E4 device on 0.9.23.x today and it was working perfectly until i update it.
Update without keeping old vesion is my big mistake :(
I only use my old E4 to test something in system. I have a new device i use daily.

Found an issue with 0.9.24.1, flashing a single TA file (Advanced => Trim Area => S1 => Flash TA file) seems broken, FlashTool always hard lock after connecting the device in flash mode, and I can only close it through Task Manager. This is happening on my Xperia X with FlashTool for Windows...

When assembling the firmware XZ1 Dual G8342 Flashtool does not add a script and does not even request, but for XZ1 G8341 and XZ1 Compact G8441 firmware the script is added without problems.
Flashtool 0.9.24.2
Thank you!

Just created latest (47.1.A.12.34) for XZ Premium and when tried to simulate it Flashtool gave to "questions" - missing Partitions and Persist missing in FSC script.
I believe that first one is important?
I'm using 0.9.24.2.
Yes partitions should be in the ftf. Here it is always included when I create a bundle

Hmm. I redownloaded and reinstalled Flashtool. Let it sync with GutHub and still have this two "questions".
There is no partition.zip, folder or any of it's files inside .ftf.

One thing: before creating .ftf should I unpack partition.zip? Similar thing had to be done with Newflasher.
What about .ta files? I always excluded them when creating .ftf, but this 3 device are a little different, so maybe on or more .tas should be included?

And what about PERSIST? It is missing in .fsc file, so it may be unimportant, but than why it is there?

partition.zip must not be extracted neither deleted. I search for this file when I create a bundle and extract it myself

About persist I don't know. What I know is that xperia companion does not flash it when it repairs the phone

SO i thought i know everything. At first I didn't extract the psrtition.zip, was counting that Flashtool use .zip or will extract it by itself.

But now I tried extracting it to "partition" folder and straight to the folder with all .sin files.
With folder, they were still missing, with second way Flashtool created one file called "partition.sin", but when simulating it says:
"No partition delivery included.
Maybe a bundle created with a previous release of Flashtool.
Do you want to continue ?"
And than:
"Those data are not in the FSC script and will be skipped: PARTITION,PERSIST.
Do you want to continue ?"

Now I'm lost... there is no partition delivery file. Just boot_delivery.xml, but this one always existed.

It seems, Flashtool added only first of the partiton-image-X.sins:
Code:
17/052/2018 13:52:43 - INFO - Adding partition-image-LUN0_X-FLASH-ALL-42E5.sin to the bundle as partition.sin
17/052/2018 13:52:43 - INFO - Streaming from file : A:\XperiFirm\G8141_Customized DE_1308-5289_47.1.A.12.34_R4B\partition-image-LUN0_X-FLASH-ALL-42E5.sin

Create the bundle from the FILESET or from Flashtool, launch Xperifim and download the FW you want and let XperiFirm then Flashtool do the job

Hey, I'm back :)
What You wrote worked with XZ Premium and XZ1, but I have problem with XZ1 Compact.
Doesn't matter if I use .fsc for Compact, or for XZ1 and XZ Premium, it still says that there is no PARTITION_DELIVERY in the fsc script...
""Those data are not in the FSC script and will be skipped: PARTITION_DELIVERY,PERSIST.
Do you want to continue ?""
It's strange, as the .fsc file for Compact is identical to ones for XZ1 and XZ Premium. Still this two are fine, Compact is not...

Flashing:
Code:
17/010/2018 20:10:35 - INFO - Selected Bundle for Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact(G8441). FW release : 47.1.A.12.34. Customization : Germany

17/011/2018 20:11:06 - INFO - Start Flashing
17/011/2018 20:11:06 - INFO - No loader in the bundle. Searching for one

17/011/2018 20:11:06 - INFO - Parsing boot delivery
17/013/2018 20:13:40 - INFO - Found a template session. Using it : E:\Flashtool\firmwares\prepared\47.1.fsc
17/013/2018 20:13:40 - INFO - Flashing finished.
17/013/2018 20:13:40 - INFO - Please unplug and start your phone
17/013/2018 20:13:40 - INFO - For flashtool, Unknown Sources and Debugging must be checked in phone settings
17/013/2018 20:13:41 - INFO - Device disconnected
It finished right after i clicked Yes to flash without Partition_delivery.

Even if it was added when creating:
Code:
17/006/2018 20:06:21 - INFO - Streaming from file : A:\XperiFirm\G8441_Customized DE_1310-4373_47.1.A.12.34_R6B\decrypted\partition\partition_delivery.xml

17/006/2018 20:06:21 - INFO - Adding partition-image-LUN1_X-FLASH-ALL-C93B.sin to the bundle
17/006/2018 20:06:21 - INFO - Adding partition-image-LUN2_X-FLASH-ALL-C93B.sin to the bundle
Tried with firmware download using standalone XperiFIrm (but not unpacked) as well as with XF from Flashtool.
Any idea?

EDIT: It worked when I made copy of XZ1 folder (G83XX) and renamed it, properties file and all needed data inside that file to match XZ1 Compact.
Not sure what helped as XZ1's fsc and properties are same as XZ1 Compacts's (ofc except device name, model, etc.). So why it worked, but couldn't before?

Yes, some devices seems have bug in bootloader and didn't send reaply after command SYNC, and allso some fail on command POWERDOWN... @Androxyde if need, see how I solved it https://github.com/munjeni/newflasher/blob/master/newflasher.c#L3514 just simple send sync and don't wait reaply, and do not send powerdown command since some devices can't handle it. :)

Probably, but here the freeze is on de git Devices sync, nothing to see with flashing
Probably a network issue or a corrupted git local repository.

My advice would be to remove the devices folder and let flashtool resync it ... or disable autosync on startup

Thanks for your advice and I did what you told by changing gitauto to false in config.properties but then it still freezes right after the GUI pops up.
Attached is a screenshot of the frozen GUI.

Hi.
Am I the only one with a non working XF button? When I click the button, it says "Downloading latest XperiFirm" and then nothing more happens (tried waiting for quite a while). I'm suspecting my network guys and their bloody web filter is to blame. What's the exact URL it uses for fetching Xperifirm?

    [TOOL] [UPDATE 21/12/2016] Flashtool version 0.9.23.0 - Windows / Linux / Mac

    Hi,

I will take the lead on releases of this tool as Bin4ry will have less time to work on it.

For all flashtool informations (download links, changelog, screenshot gallery, FAQ, Firmwares repository) go to the Flashtool Homepage

Flashtool sources are on github : Androxyde repositories

WARNING : Since Xperia Z, sony added a new set of files I called bootbundle. Those files can be bundled from 0.9.13 and can be flashed from 0.9.13 only. To all those flashing devices from Z edition to all after Z, it is highly advised to use 0.9.13 and to be sure FTF you flash contain the bootbundle set. I've been reported of hard bricks because of missing such set of files from bundles.

I WANT TO GET YOUR ATTENTION ABOUT THE LATEST BRANCH 0.9.19. Without FSC, the tool will by default include simlock.ta if this file is present in the FTF. The result will be a bricked phone
As a workaround, until I release a patch, please please tick the exlude simlock.ta if you see it in the list.
0.9.19.6 fixes the simlock.ta issue. This file is by default excluded. Then it will not be flashed until you explicitely untick the exlcude simlock box. Do it at your own risk.

A new version of Flashtool will be released very soon with support for XZPremium, XZ1 and XZ1 compact

This release will move from java8 to java9. As a consequence, Flashtool will not run on 32bits OS platforms as java9 is 64bits only

Here is a beta version of FT (0.9.17.2)

This release can normally root latest devices (towelroot implemented)

This release has a new feature : Check Devices -> Check update. Choose a device and you will have a table of CDF. Double click on one of them it will check release. Double click again once release is fetched and FT will download / decrypt and create FTF from files downloaded from sony servers :)

Feel free to report if you find bugs.
PS : This update applies only on release 0.9.16.1 or 0.9.17.1

(Beta.zip as attachement to this post)
