I reverted back to 2.3.2.3 and that works fine for me no issues. Latest version will not backup or restore. I need to get adb setup. Thanks for all your help. Twrp is the best.

I am currently on 10.1 nightly, want to do a fresh clean install. Do I just do factory reset in twrp or are there any other that I need to clean? There are 6/7 options under Wipe menu under twrp, please advise.

If you have time can you try backing up single partitions in 2.4.1.0?

Wipe factory reset - wipe system - wipe cache & dalvik - Install rom, gapps - reboot system.

no problems here at all... on TWRP 2.4.1.0. Have wiped/flashed roms and themes, made a few backups of various partitions,and restored.. and haven't run into any glitches

It does all that. Don't try to do a restore. There is nothing there and your phone will be dead. Why do you guys put crop out that does not work. We put allot of trust in these apps. This really pisses me off. I have no working backups.

Just to be absolutely clear - you're saying that in YOUR experience - twrp does NOT allow YOU to restore?

IF, that's what you're saying, I TOTALLY disagree!!

I have absolutely no problems with TWRP restoring backups!

I just did a restore to an AOKP rom from a CM10.1 rom, without any issues!

Twrp works perfectly for almost everyone! If you've got a problem - it's YOUR problem!

How do I flash a previous version of TWRP? I have it on my phone but can't find anywhere to install it. Having same problem with trying to restore but wipes system and resets back to main menu. Installing works fine though.

I would advise you to use nothing but stock OEM, and not touch anything if you need this level of trust. Also without recovery.log I cannot tell if it's TWRP's fault or not, but at least I can help if you upload it.

You can flash the older zip, or use odin to flash the tar. If you would like to help us solve the issue, upload your recovery.log so I can look at it.

Anyone seeing a trend here? Please provide a recovery.log to help the problem instead of complaining that it just doesn't work with no other information.

Can't properly diagnose without the proper information.

I just emailled a recovery log.. I am unable to backup restore or install from external sdcard since instilling.. internal card works fine though

I had a similar issue with ver. 2.3.3.2 and all I did is go to the settings button and select restore defaults and after that I was able to backup and restore from the external sd card. I also did the same after installing 2.4.1.0 as well and it is working fine for me so far.

t0lteatt zip, or the simplest way is to use goo manager. Open goo manager, hit the menu key and select Install Open Recovery Script.

T0ltecan on twrp website says it's for galaxy note and not note 2( in the search device widget on the website) this is why I always used t0lteatt , maybe it's and error on the website and we should get this corrected if it's the case, anyway I never got a problem. With the t0lteatt version

He said he had the canadian version. The only difference between all the note2 recoveries (except sprint) is the product name. Sprint has a different partition layout. I will look at the t0ltecan entry at the website.

I fixed the slug (the text that you search for), but the page said Note2. The slug now says Note2 now too.

OK then, I have the Canadian version & I know that the zip that's working with it is the t0lteatt - didn't know what the other one was for.. Didn't want to take a chance
