Hi all. I came from the Epic 4g touch to this beast of a phone Note 3 Thursday.
I am currently stock with only root at the moment, eagerly trying to get this awesome custom touch recovery installed. The past couple days trying to download the needed file, I'm consistently getting server error in goomanager as well as from my PC.
Is there any chance getting the file without going thru goo? Remember, I am rooted only so I can't flash zips yet.
I'd be grateful for any help/advice one could. Thank you

The IMG link goes to the img.md5. I'm thinking that img is the way to go without increasing the Knox counter?

It's been a very long time since I've been able to use this recovery (very thankful it's available for us on this phone/Touchwiz).
Could someone please refresh my memory about renaming backups without causing MD5 mismatch. No caps, spaces, numbers .... Are underscores Ok... etc. ..
Thank you in advance.

Go into "restore" and you see the option to rename the back up.

How do i fix the date and time on this recovery? the date and time is all wrong..and I have no clue how to fix and or change it. I used to have this same issue on CWM.

You can't unless you run date manually each time on the command line to set the time. Android doesn't set the RTC so TWRP has no time source.

Ok..so I noticed that when I back up to my SD card...its takes 4ever! (or so it seems) Im aware that backing up time varies with device due to the amount of things one has on his/her phone....but it just seems to take so much long. I also noticed that when I do this...it reset all my ringtones on my SDcard that I set for apps and or contacts. that is very annoying. Has anyone come across this?

The backup resets your contacts? Also if you can provide /tmp/recovery.log after your actions I can take a look at what's happening.

Naa...it doesnt reset my contacts...it resets the ringtones I set for apps and contacts..but it seems to only reset the ones I have on my SD card. it also seems to reset the ringtones when I reboot the phone too...smh...this is annoying.
As far as the /temp/recovery.log....how do I go about that? Ive never done that before.
