I formatted the cache in the recovery. That took extremely long (over 15 minutes). Some menu items could not be selected. I could not set the system time, the menu did not respond properly to inputs and TWRP blocked finally complete. After restarting the SM-P900 did not work properly, so I had to re-flash the Originalrom to end. At the moment i stay in this configuration because I have no time for further experiments. I have rooted the tablet and uninstalled the apps i don't want.

Hi @bigbiff . If you have time would you please check the stock recovery of SM-P901 that I uploaded on google drive to see if it's the same as SM-P900 so we can flash SM-P900's TWRP recovery on SM-P901? Sorry for bothering you! THANKS.

I will probably start working on new device ports in the coming weeks now that 2.8 is out.

Hi bigbiff,

I installed new TWRP 2.8 on my SM-P905. No problem...
but when with TWRP I make a backup to sd ext or sd int, then the backups are successfully. But no files write in the backup-directory in sd int or sd ext. What is the problem what is false ?
Many thanks for your work...

regards

I'm having problems flashing this recovery. I use Odin to push it just like I did to get root but it won't boot into TWRP. It just gets stuck in bootloop.

Can you try to go to the root of the filesystem and select external_sd and see if you can to TWRP/serial/BACKUPS please?

hi bigbiff,

under the Directory BACKUPS is only an old backup of TWRP 7. In the tmp directory, the recovery.log is empty.
The log which one I posted yesterday was also not in the directory tmp.

For me flashing twrp first then rooting works like a charm. Then in twrp need to enable the -rf option and that will allow clearing the cache for the time being.
You can do install TWRP without installing root first?

For me rooting didn't work. Was many months ago. SMP900. I should check out the other forums to see if there has been any new developments. Root. Want. :p

Yes, you can install the supersu/superuser zip from TWRP.
