Honestly I don't know. I think so because I haven't been able to root it yet. When I reboot to recovery it says in red
Android system recovery<3e>
KOTH49H.P907AUCU1AND7

Volume up/down to move highlight;
power button to select

(In blue text)reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache

Down at the bottom in yellow is
#MANUAL MODE#
--Appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the CSC-code : ATT
Successfully applied multi-CSC.

I don't figure you needed the bottom, but what the hell to much info is better than not enough

The best way to find out is to repack stock recovery and use dd to image it to the recovery partition in Odin.

It is stock. I just bought it Saturday, and have not put Odin or towelroot on. I'm used to HTC so until I understood what I was doing and had everything gathered together I didn't want to start messing with stuff

<< begging...

Support for encrypted device /sdcard in the next release?

---------- Post added at 08:35 ---------- Previous post was at 07:42 ----------

Reverting to 2.8.1.1 - 2.8.3.0 can't mount "System", or backup /re-install.

TWRP restarts and locks on any attempt to access the System partition (restore process, new ROM install, etc.).

2.8.1.1 formatted System as expected and restored the backup image.

No logs?

TWRP 2.8.3.0 didn't generate any - and the "Copy Log to SD Card" option when it came back from crash didn't drop anything useful either (recovery.log == 0 bytes).

Wiping /formatting system, mounting a partition, restoring a previous backup, creating a new backup, or installing a ROM from .zip proceeded normally until they touched "system" in any way.

Brief flicker of the screen, black for a moment, then the TWRP splash to main menu startup sequence.

Try

adb pull /tmp/recovery.log

That was entertaining...

Turns out that on crash-restart, TWRP shows up as an MTP device but is not visible to ADB. A second restart into Recovery via the menu restored ADB access - log file is here: http://pastebin.com/tG6ADddZ

Looked through recovery.log and found reference to "last_log". Uploaded to: http://pastebin.com/DA5JHq25

TWRP 2.8.3.0 for viennalte/sm-p905 reboots after wiping data+cache. No MTP available, as in previous versions. Reverted to 2.8.1.1

Sent from my SM-P905 using Tapatalk.

Just updated to the latest version tonight and noticed it has a regression regarding exfat support. I know 2.7.1.0 worked as I've used this same external sd for backups in the past. 2.8.3.0, however gives me errno=13, unable to create folder when running a backup.

EDIT: Backup to exfat 128GB extsd in 2.8.1.1 working.
