The latest TWRP worked seamlessly on my P900, thanks for all your hard work bigbiff. I'll try to donate soon, perhaps enough for a couple of beers. :)
Do you have a link to the latest version for the P900? I could only find v. 2.8.0.0. I tried installing 2.8.5 but it won't install.

Thanks.

Click on the download line in the first post of this thread, then click on the link in the upper right hand corner (Get TWRP for your device), then enter Note Pro, and select your device, either 3g or wifi, then under Download - Zip method click the mirror link, scroll to the bottom and download (openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-v1awifi.zip), put it on your phone and flash using TWRP itself.

Device bricked?

Argh, Just bricked my SM-P900... can this be helped

Situation:
i) TWRP installed 2.8.5 and was working beautifully
ii) CyangenMod 12 was installed and working beautifully
ii) Decided to perform a factory reset on my tablet using Android settings option and now the device continually boots to the TWRP start screen and gets no further.

I cannot boot into TWRP
I cannot boot into the Android O.S.

I can access the download mode (power-volume down), so tried re-installing TWRP using Odin (3.09); problem still remains. Tried version TWRP 2.8.4 AND 2.8.5.

Can anything be done?

--Solved--

SOLUTION: I installed the stock standard firmware (which included a boot img) from the samMobile website using ODIN. My device went back to factory standard and is now up and running with TRWP and Lollipop again.

Interesting how this could have happened (I was in the midst of checking my bank balance to buy another Note Pro)

No Encryption.

I suspect the problem started 3 days ago when I tried to root using CF AutoRoot via ODIN. My tablet froze and I needed to reinstall TWRP to get the tablet working again. I then rooted using TWRP (root zip file).

3 days later (this morning) - I decided to factory reset" the device and whola... the tablet was stuck at the TWRP loading screen. Now fixed.. but something to be mindful of.

I have a similar issue doing it for the first time on my tablet but I'm still stock ROM, using ODIN 3.09 to push TWRP 2.8.5 which came successful in ODIN but unable to boot into recovery (still goes into stock Android recovery).

Looks like TWRP released 2.8.6.0 for v1awifi on their mainsite, though the files are apparently corrupt (MD5 mismatch).

Anyone have a copy of the "clean" files?

E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/0.rom/viennalte....rom....zip'
Attached is the log file.
FYI this tablet is the P905M..
ro.product.name=viennaltexx
ro.product.device=viennaltexx

Please, let me know if I can provide anything else.

Is the zip setup right with the manifest, updater binary and update script?

Thanks for your reply and support.
Yes, I think that it is.. I tried different kitchens to generate them like dsixda's Android Kitchen and Archi Kitchen and tried to create by myself..
I'm attaching a META-INF of one of my tries for your reference.
@bigbiff Any thought?
Thanks in advance.

@bigbiff: I'm also at the same problem. I tried to build a few roms but always stuck at this error. No matter what I do.
Hopefully @bigbiff gonna fix it.

You need to parse the updater-script and figure out where it's failing or bailing out.
I already did it and didn't find the culprit, actually, I was wondering if it could be something into the recovery. I remember that something like this happened with my old Galaxy S2 and was recovery related, you fixed on the S2.. could it be the same problem? Thanks.

@bigbiff, in my case, could you please take a look into the updater binary and update script that I attached previously? I double checked the update script but don't know how to verify if the updater binary has any problem..

What has to happen, before we can have a CM 12 or 12.1 rom for our Verizon Note 3, model SM-900V? Will we install it via safe strap, or will an unlocked bootloader magically appear?
