As I can't copy and paste for the picture, it would be something like

adb shell
echo 255 > /sys/path/to/brightness
ok I've hit an impasse.

1. adb shell errors device not found, though the daemon continues to run
2. no returned text from any echo in recovery
3. temp mksh --something, you probably know what it is... says file not found, when echo from terminal emulator in OS

I double and triple checked each path and made sure case sensitive

edit: my friend has a TAB pro 12.2 and I can confirm the brightness setting is not working in recovery for that either.

So you do

echo 255 > /path/to/brightness_file

in the TWRP terminal?

update on my comments regarding the tab pro... it was stolen from my friend who owned it... he got a note pro to replace it.

however, I have always installed the note pro recovery on that tab pro 12.2 and all functions I used have always worked, including the brightness fix.

to any tab pro owners reading this, if yours is not a 12.2 (10.1 or smaller), do not try the note pro recovery. it most likely will waste 15 minutes of your day by failing to boot into recovery which can be fixed by simply flashing the correct version.

Can someone verify if the new release works for the p901?
