Can you try echoing a value to the backlight brightness files in your listing?attached
as much as I've seen the term, I don't have a full understanding of what it is nor how to do itCan you try echoing a value to the backlight brightness files in your listing?
As I can't copy and paste for the picture, it would be something likeas much as I've seen the term, I don't have a full understanding of what it is nor how to do it![]()
ok I've hit an impasse. As I can't copy and paste for the picture, it would be something like
adb shell
echo 255 > /sys/path/to/brightness
So you dook I've hit an impasse.
1. adb shell errors device not found, though the daemon continues to run
2. no returned text from any echo in recovery
3. temp mksh --something, you probably know what it is... says file not found, when echo from terminal emulator in OS
I double and triple checked each path and made sure case sensitive
edit: my friend has a TAB pro 12.2 and I can confirm the brightness setting is not working in recovery for that either.
did the same thing I did before, but this time I found it!So you do
echo 255 > /path/to/brightness_file
in the TWRP terminal?
/sys/devices/platform/i2c-gpio.24/i2c-24/24-002c/backlight/panel/brightness
Can you test http://build.twrp.me/twrp/twrp-2.8.7.1-v1awifi.img.tar for brightness slider please?did the same thing I did before, but this time I found it!
the brightness difference between 255 and whatever the default is, was so small I didn't even notice last time
Code:/sys/devices/platform/i2c-gpio.24/i2c-24/24-002c/backlight/panel/brightness
it's perfectCan you test http://build.twrp.me/twrp/twrp-2.8.7.1-v1awifi.img.tar for brightness slider please?
I would need someone to test before I can release the fixes.it's perfectthanks a bunch
tab pro 12.2 (definitely) and maybe the various other tab pro sizes could use the fix too
I'm going to be with my friend who has the tab pro 12.2, for about 4-5 more hours from the time of this post. I could give it a test no problemI would need someone to test before I can release the fixes.
I can confirm that it works well on my SM-P900.I would need someone to test before I can release the fixes.
I believe the bootloader is locked on VZW.A bit late to the game butdoes this work on 905v? I installed and booting into recovery gives me a seandroid error and vzw telling me not to do that..
Can someone verify if the new release works for the p901?Could you please help me )
I installed Android 5.0.2 (P901OXE0BOI1) through Odin 1.83. Now after installing twrp-3.0.0-0-v1a3gxx.img.tar I get stock recovery again )
(recovery is not seandroid enforcing)
Can someone verify if the new release works for the p901?
