Nope.. Me and everybody else have been flashing nougat ROMs with the TWRP unified build from quite some time with no issue.

I kept setting ro.product.device with the device name (trltexx, trltetmo, etc) because everyone from the beginning used this way, even if the right way should be ro.product.device=trlte ro.product.name=trltexx/trltetmo/etc. Have a look at build.prop of a official samsung firmware.

@Oldnobby, this device doesn't have official nougat firmware so, I guess, when you speak about nougat ROMs you mean LineageOS-14.1 and derivates, and, for what I'm aware of, every developer/builder is setting the assert to " getprop("ro.product.device") == "trltexx/tmo/etc" " and the unified trlte build of TWRP set it just right for it and how we're used to, see init_trlte.cpp for confirmation.

Can you please tell us which Note4 variant you have and which nougat ROMs are you trying to install?
Hi @_none

I tried almost every nougat and other Roms from AOSP, RREMIX,EMOTION,CM, ETC...
My note4 is snapdragon version, N910F and as I said before, I don't have any issues installing Lollipop or MM ROMs with twrp trlte and trltexx. Thank you very much for replying I do appreciate!

Strange...
Please try to flash any nougat ROM, after that go back to the "TWRP first menu", select "Advanced" > "File Manager" > "tmp" > "recovery.log" > "Copy File" > "sdcard" > "Download" > Tap on the blue folder icon on the bottom right of your screen. Now you'll have a file in your Download folder called recovery.log, please send it to me via pm or replay to my post and attach it to it.

Sorry, it's 4am here, I was trying to make it noob proof but maybe I've just made it more complicated.. what I need is the recovery.log file after you flash a nougat ROM. Can you provide it?

Hi @bigbiff
I tried to install again the twrp 3.1.1 trlte and after I did a factory reset "wipe" and this is the error that gives me before installing a ROM...can you tell me what's the issue please, thank you!
It is saying it can't mount your EFS partition. /tmp/recovery.log would tell us why if you upload it here.

Hi @bigbiff
I posted the a recovery log on the 2 posts above for mone to check, that log was made after installing a ROM or do you want only the recovery log of twrp?
Thank you

What is the problem you are having again? I don't see any installation issues in that log.

Hi there @bigbiff
When I tried to install any nougat ROM with the twrp 3.1.1 trlte it gives me two errors one is the "log error" and the other is "failed to mount efs..." After many attempts to flash a ROM I had to go back to my old rom.
After a few more times only installing the twrp 3.1.1 and doing a factory wipe before install any nougat ROM automatically gives the error "failed to mount efs"?
I don't have any issue with twrp 3.0.2 or the previous twrp! I did tried installing from Odin and from the recovery or twrp manager app but the issue still there unfortunately. I add another log for you to check if you want? Thank you

Sure that's the recovery log of twrp 3.0.2 trltexx, thank you
I guess you are now using twrp 3.0.2....
Does your current ROM show you the IMEI?
Settings > About phone > Status > IMEI information (or something similar)

P.S.: I don't want to know your IMEI, don't share it.

Download twrp-3.1.1-0-trlte. It's a unified recovery for all Snapdragon based devices. Flash in Odin or if u have already an older version of TWRP you can update to this one inside the recovery itself under Install->image to the recovery partition.
