Take Your TimeDid you read what I just said?
EDIT: Was working all night...
Everything's working already except the unpacking! Pretty sure I'll be able to release 4.8.0 in less than a day!
Now it's time to sleep~![]()
I think it needs some time to understand that XperiFirm in not sonys tool. It's made by very dedicated sony devices user(s) and sometimes its needed to do "some" adaptations to the tool to be up-to-date... And especially with .200 sony made some changes in providing FWs...I have a new update from Sony PC Companion but cannot see update in XperiFirm
The BestLoading releases, downloading, unpacking, manual unpacking - all works now.
Now doing some heavy testing, to make sure you get a perfectly functional release.
XperiFirm 4.8.0 combines the classic server with the new server to get you both old and new releases from both servers (thus loading the release list for new devices will be slighly slower, but we'll have to live with it).

Awesome updates, I'll tryv4.8.0 [September 26, 2015]:
- NEW: Adaptations were made to support another server Sony uses to provide firmware, in order to support new firmware released for several devices (like Xperia Z2, Z3, Z3 Compact, Z3+, Z3v, Z2 Tablet, Z3 Tablet Compact and Z4 Tablet) and support for new devices intoduced on this other server exclusively: Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5.
Firmware are loaded from both servers whenever it's possible.
To unpack a firmware that was manually downloaded from the new server, see FAQ section above.
Enjoy, comment and donate to support![]()
I got Failed to connect to the server too. Maybe because my Internet connection. Will check later.@IaguCool, I have this error message whenever I launch your new version under Linux Mint: "ERROR: Failed to connect to the server. Check your internet connection and/or proxy settings."
Unnecessary to that my internet connection is just fine!
EDIT: v4.8.0 works on Windows 10! So the issue lies whist running it under Linux. By the way, mono is installed (otherwise I suppose XperiFirm wouldn't even run to throw that error message).

It's not the internet connection's fault. I edited my post, but forgot to mention that I successfully ran the new XperiFirm on Windows 10. The case is that it happens to run on a virtual machine (i.e. a it's a guest OS) under the Linux host which fails to run the new XperiFirm.I got Failed to connect to the server too. Maybe because my Internet connection. Will check later.
No change! Both of you should try clicking the "Settings" icon on the top-right corner of XperiFirm and check or uncheck "Enable proxy"
confirmed not working on LinuxBoth of you should try clicking the "Settings" icon on the top-right corner of XperiFirm and check or uncheck "Enable proxy"
