Download and open XperiFirm tool. Choose your device and region and download the firmware prior to 58.2.A.2.90.Could use some help / guidance. I have an Xperia Pro 5g (the one with the mini hdmi port). The March 2022 update completely ruined the phone for me. Not sure what it did to the display settings, temporal dithering, etc, but I can no longer use this phone without massive headaches.
Question: Is there any way I can revert back to a previous firmware? I'm not sure where to look or if the file for it even exists. I just need any firmware before March 2022, maybe even 2021 or the stock firmware it came with when I bought it last year. Currently I'm on 58.2.a.2.90 Android 12. Any help appreciated!
XperiFirm doens't have older firmware anymore for most phones. I was able to find one on the android authority though and flashed it with newflasher. Had to unlock bootloader. Worked fine after that.Download and open XperiFirm tool. Choose your device and region and download the firmware prior to 58.2.A.2.90.
For flashing instructions choose your device section on XDA forums.

This app is not multi-platform and has never been one, because .NET Framework is not multi-platform.good to know. I'll concluded this app is in any way multi platform as they say. thank you !
Read the "NOTE" in bold yellow on the OP...fair enough.
is this official though https://xperifirm.com/ ?
"Xperifirm Tool is an Xperia Firmware downloader, and it can be used on any platform like Windows, Mac, and Linux. However, to run Xperifirm flashtool on Mac and Linux, Mono must be installed."
At least .NET Framework 4.6 must be installed due to Sony server's TLS 1.2 security protocol requirement.
Which means:
Windows XP (all)/Vista (incl. SP1): Not supported
Windows Vista SP2: .NET Framework 4.6
Windows 7/8/8.1: .NET Framework 4.8
Windows 10+: Pre-installed
