Is the relock procedure the same as found here?

Download the latest Flashtool ( found in OG android development forum)
Install the Flashtool drivers found in the drivers folder
Connect phone in Flash-mode (phone shut down, volume down + power)
Press the BLU button
Press the relock option
Put a stock .tft firmware in the Flashtool firmwares folder (this is required!!)
Flash the firmware (this is required!!)
Done

Re: [TOOL/Z] [UPDATE 21/03/2013] Flashtool version 0.9.10.2beta4 - Windows / Linux /

@androxyde
This is not a big deal but just to let you know.
when flashing a firmware, flashtool create a folder prepared, and if you cancel the flashing procedure this folder is not deleted automatically.

Possible ;) I haven't checked. I will check it at end of day. Also I saw progressbar was not updated correctly when flashing a full FW :)

Androxyde, a question directed at you, as I don't understand that part of the game (yet).
Obviously simple root access doesn't make the keys reachable, otherwise there would have been a solution to back them up them since ages. Where are the keys then? I believe I gathered they reside on a partition which gets wiped and removed with the unlock. Given that would be the case, is that partition hidden by the bootloader or otherwise not exposed to userland? Still given this is the case, this partition must be somehow accessible though, otherwise userland tools like MusicID, BE(2) or whatever which relies/did rely in the past on the DRM keys wouldn't be able to determine their presence either.

Could reengineering such an apk maybe give hints? Or isn't that the actual problem?

---------- Post added at 05:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:46 PM ----------

If anyone here is not interested by DRM and BE2 etc etc ... then if ever he can take a backup of TA before and a backup after unlock, then maybe I could find the diff and localize what has to be saved / restored.
You may get in touch with Entropy512 if he didn't unlock already. I believe his Z is still locked and he is still running unmodified stock and if not, he was until very recently ago. He obviously also has the skills to do such a thing and maybe even more ;)

Tried to flash the latest .434 firmware on my Xperia Z and when the flash was suppose to start the app crash!

My Z is UK unbranded and I didn't unlock my bootloader.

I'm running OSX 10.8.3 with all the updates done!

I will update my mac. I'm on 10.8.2. Will report after update

EDIT : Updated my mac and Flashtool is working fine. Do you run it right from dmg or you copy Flashtool App somewhere ?

You must copy Flashtool app out of dmg to somewhere on your mac. Applications is a good place :) here it is on my Desktop

Also in the About menu what is version of Java ?
