No it is not. This error should not appear anymore in the beta2 release

This Tool can unlock your bootloader. And also its for flashing Firmware (.ftf) Files.

Hi there,
This Tool does not unlock your bootloader. Its for flashing Firmware (.ftf) Files.

Although the new version change log says there's a button to unlock/relock bootloader.
I don't mean to confuse anyone, but I was thinking that'll be how I'll unlock when I finally get round to it.

This tool can unlock the bootloader.

It does it the official way :

First queries the phone IMEI and shows it in the wizard, then go to Sony website to ask for the unlock code. the copy the unlock code in the wizard field and click the unlock button. Then bootloader is unlocked.

This feature is there since a a loonnng time (it was as a plugin in the previous versions of flashtool)

I finally managed to get flash the UK unbranded ftf, no problems.

Then I seen this version includes the unlock/relock bootloader function and you confirmed it worked on the last page, so went ahead and relocked it, just to see if I ever have to send phone off for repairs and would need the bootloader locked again.

Now though, I cannot unlock bootloader again. I get this

What command is the tool using to relock?

Are the unlocked bootloaders version 0.3 or 0.5?

To relock, i clear the TA unit containing unlock code in the Misc TA zone. Thats what is done by all relock ftf for any previous phone.

Here it is

This release is really minimal.

It can flash, extract system.sin to ext4 and kernel.sin to elf. It can unpack elf. It can decrypt blob_fs files from PCC / SEUS / Emma. It can create FTF bundles. It can Unlock / Relock bootloader (BLU icon in the toolbar).

When flashing, you can now exclude/include sin files.

I'm still getting up to speed on what Sony are doing with their systems.
So this is just a thought, can the TA be read before unlocking, in case there's something new in there on this device that shouldn't be wiped during relocking ?

I don't see any misc TA zone?

I have relocked the phone by flashing back to UK stock rom, then clicked the BLU button.

Now when I go to *#*#7378423#*#* > Service info > Configuration, I get this screen:
